The humor is contemporary and intelligent, plus the advice is down to earth...if it wasn't, my dad would not have read the book, but surprise, surprise-he loved it. Now a couple of his friends (also new grandpas) have borrowed Keeping Your Grandkids Alive. If you know an expecting granddad, pick up this book as a shower or birth announcement gift. You won't be disappointed.

Keeping Your Grandkids Alive Till Their Ungrateful Parents Arrive is a humorous guidebook written especially for grandparents. Though it offers practical tips, it is at least as much a mirthful celebration of the joys and perils of coping with rambunctuous young ones as it is an advice guide. A most entertaining read covering everything from "spoiling" children to dealing with the great outdoors, so called "grand-stay etiquette" for visiting, and much more. A treat to share and an excellent giftbook for especially for proud granddads.
