More About the Author

Nicole lives in Charlotte, North Carolina with her husband, a teenage son and daughter, and Kenna. Every day is new and sparkly...which is why she chronicles them on her blog, Suddenly *Not So* Single Journey. It is a way for her to spread her brand of hope, happiness, and love.

Previously, Nicole has been published by McClatchy News in their syndicated papers. In 2010, she joined the Yahoo! Mother Board, became a Shine Parenting Guru, and has become an award winning dating and relationships expert for Shine.

After a few bad sailing experiences, the Moores decided they were safer on land. Their boating adventures will be limited to cruise ships. And those cruises are centered around their travel goal of visiting ever Margaritaville. Two down, eleven to go!

I have been following Kenna on Facebook since she was in the NICU and way before this book came out. I love the fact that Kenna's mom wrote a book. This little girl is a precious cutie. I think all parents with either a NICU baby or who may have a NICU baby should read this book and will benefit from it.

I gave this book a 3 start. Just seems to drag out to long it was everyday report was not necessary. I maybe wrong in my review but to me I think it was repeats of a lot of the same thing and I understand that's the case with preemies.

I recommend the book to anybody that wants to read it I wouldn't say it's a bad book to read it pretty interesting and maybe somebody that going through this may learn something from it.

I am a Facebook follower and I do pray for them and I do respond to posting and so I guess maybe that's part of the problem on reading the story. I know to much about her and it just caused me to have lacking in reading the book.

They are very courageous family with all the miscarriage she's had an stillbirths I give them my whole heart for what she's been through and the fact that she stayed strong throughout it all.

Happy reading!

Having had two nephews in NICU, the relationships and ups and downs as described by the author are so authentic and relayed so well. They were not micro preemies, although they were born quite early,

Kenna's story is one of faith, hope, love, caring, and advocacy. It is one of survival and the true spunk of a very little girl from the get go...and the faith of her parents, and that of her nurses and doctors...and the lessons they all learned from each other; the relationships they built; and the growing wonderment of a little girl who seemed to have the personality of an old soul and the true desire to thrive and live no matter what it took. Kenna's journey and that of her her family and nurses and doctors will warm your heart, teach you much and make you wish you knew this little girl and her family...and they gifts they could teach us every day.

Amidst the roller coaster ride of the NICU, Kenna's journey and Nicki's documentation of her journey are amazing to read. I am inspired every day by the faith she held onto for her precious Kenna. What a fantastic book!

Precious story. The fight to survive. The looking at the bright side. Very uplifting. Excellent book, not just about baby, but how to handle life's challenges.

Great book! Parts were sad others were scary. That was a real long journey for the parents but oh so worth it. I didn't think babies that tiny lived but boy Jenna showed them and she .made me a believer! I am glad that the family got there happy ending they so deserved it right along with Kenna.

Great book and very well written. Laughed and cried along with the family, doctors and nurses! Felt like I was part of the support for Kenna from the beginning.
