Book Description

February 26, 2004
The Alexanders are the kind of family you're always seeing in the Homes sections of the weekend supplements, surrounded by lots of white and complicated lighting set-ups. Carla is a stay-at-home mum, busy raising their two young sons whilst being the devoted wife and support to her husband Tom, a fashionable furniture designer. However, when their best friends announce their divorce-lite - an amicable split where they will still live together but have separate love lives - cracks begin to show on the smooth veneer surface of Carla and Tom's perfect marriage. Cracks which will need more than a few tubs of Polyfilla to cover over. Adept at dealing with all the exteriors of their lives, from scary headmistresses to stroppy scaffolders, ever-efficient Carla comes up with a startling scheme to get them through their marital crisis. And one that she has no plans to share with her husband
