This cd was my first hearing Zakiya sing. I love all of the songs, but of course I have my favorites, specifically,("Love Foreclosure" and "Rock These Blues Away") Zakiya has such a soulful, bluesy,jazzy and mellow way of delivering these blues. I highly recommend this cd for all of you blues lovers out there! You won't be disappointed! The "extra" bonus is hearing Zakiya sing with her dad. What a talented artist! In fact, I'm going to order "all" of her cds prior to this one and await her next release. Zakiya, keep "Keeping It Real"!

Awesome tunes! Zakiya Hooker is a great singer! The daughter of John Lee Hooker is following in her dad's steps. All these tunes are worth having! I downloaded all the tunes on her "Keeping It Real" cd yesterday. It did not take long to download. It was money well spent!
