Gary Rhodes is a great chef. I have eaten at his restaurant in London twice and both times the food was outstanding. I own 2 other Gary Rhodes cookery books and the recipes always turn out wonderfully, although they are more complicated and involved to make.

I was given a copy of 'Keeping it Simple' as a gift and it has become a wonderful resource for delicious mid-week dinners. The list of ingredients is short, instructions simple and the meals easy to cook but the resulting meal is full of flavor. I will be making these recipes again and again, they have not disappointed. I particularly recommend the pork stroganoff with braised rice, beef 'coq au vin' stew, pasta with chicken, sage and onion butter and the blackberry and almond tart.
