This review is from: Keeping Your Valuable Employees: Retention Strategies for Your Organization's Most Important Resource (Hardcover)
I liked the fact that this book took a systematic approach to examining retention. The approach examines everything from job descriptions to counteroffers. It really forced me to develop a comprehensive retention strategy. I particularly enjoyed Part III of the book that focuses on Develoment and Career Opportunity, Let's Talk about Money, and Performance Management.

The book also includes an interesting survey that was completed by 457 respondents. However, 75% of the respondents were also in school, which makes me wonder about the validty and relaibity of the resutls on a "typical" organizaiotn. Interesting concept for an author to utilize.
