To the Fans of Dr. Georgia Leeds:,

This review is from: The United Keetoowah Band of Cherokee Indians in Oklahoma (American University Studies IX: History) (Paperback)
I have not yet read this book, but I felt the need to share a sad piece of news with her fans on Amazon.
I was scheduled to be in her class on American History this spring when she had to leave for health reasons. The first class is the only time I ever met her. She passed last Friday, July 8, 2011 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Her contributions to the uncovering of true native history will never be forgotten. R.I.P. Doc Leeds. I recommend this book for anyone interested in the history of the Cherokee Nation. Dr. Leed's love and understanding of the Cherokee's is obvious upon reading this book. I found this book interesting and well written.
