4.0 out of 5 stars Rammstein gives you Keine Lust: in psychodelic, jazz and folk, September 5, 2005
This review is from: Keine Lust Pt.2 (Audio CD)
Keine Lust is a great single (the fourth from the album Reise, Reise) and it is catchy, fast and gets stuck in your head very easily due to it's sing songy chorus. It's one of my favorite songs from the album so when I saw they were releasing it as a single I was terribly happy! Gotta love the video featuring fat Rammstein... heh...

But as for the single there are eight tracks to it and the first one is relatively the same as the original song with just different distortions and a little mixing here and there. It's good, just a little harder than the unmixed track.
The second mix The Psychosonic Remix is very mellow and groovy taking away the guitars and filling in with a distorted bass warps along long enough to make any high person happy. It's an okay mix, but not one of the best ones. It's also long (as most psycodelic songs are)
The Bozz remix is my favorite on the cd. It starts of quitely and makes the song sound much more sinister with the keyboard added in and the gritty filters over Till's vocals. It's very driving and delightful!
The Jazz mix is just like the title describes it: Rammstein as a jazz song. It's twangy with the ride played with a smooth bass and keyboard. Definently something you'd hear in some funky cafe.
The sixth mix is the Black Strobe mix and it's my friends favorite (I must admit to it being very good for a techno mix). This one is even longer than the Psychosonic mix but it's worth it to listen again and again. Ignore the slow pick up of the song (about a whole minute) because as soon as the vocals start you're interested. It's a real good dance song and it just gets better and better as it goes on. Definently a club song! So catchy.
The seventh mix is the Curve remix. The hardest mix I think. This one goes all over, warping up and away the vocals. Taking the music up and then down and the name (the Curve mix) matches perfectly, because this song is warpy and weird- but in the very best sense.
The last mix is the Ich zaehl die Fliegen remix and it is one of the most creative takes on the song Keine Lust I think, turning it into a poppy, heavy, folky song. Great violin on the chorus makes the song uber catchy! Wow!

And there you have it! I hope this was helpful to you and I hope you enjoy this single as much as I do (that is, if you decide to buy it)!
