5.0 out of 5 stars Sandra Marton has Written Another Amazing Love Story!
Keir O'Connel has had enough of Vegas so he moves and changes professions. In a twist of fate the beautiful woman (Cassie) that he used to employ in Vegas (and that he once shared a passionate kiss with) has also left the town behind and ended up at his doorstep. Has she spent restless nights dreaming about the hot moment they once shared?

No matter how hard they try...

2.0 out of 5 stars What a Disappointment!
Too much of the same-old same old here - too much bickering, not enough plot, and the coincidence of the heroine crossing the country and winding up on the hero's doorstep was just too much to swallow. There were also too many typos. My impression is that this book was written in a hurry and needed a lot more work, especially with the hero.

No matter how hard they try and resist each other, they realize resistance is futile. And once they've shared the night in each other's arms, they quickly discover there is no one else they would rather spend the night with than each other. But Cassie has doubts they can make it work considering they mix like oil and water. Can Keir prove to her that they are made for each other?

This novel made me laugh, love, and brought tears to my eyes. It was fast-paced and hard to put down. I even brought it with me to the gym so I could read while I worked out! Sandra Marton is by far my favorite author. She always stirs feelings in me with her 3-dimensional characters. This book is right up there with all her other novels. I've read at least 20 of her books and I still can't get enough. Check out her other novels and be sure not to miss the rest of this series. I know I'll be the first in line to buy them!

5.0 out of 5 stars It was good, July 28, 2003

This book was good....Sure it's a little coincedental that the heroine travelled 2500 miles and happened to meet Keir but that how romance novels are. Ive learned to read them for dialogue and fun rather than reality. I liked Keir and Cassandra. They were nice for each other. It's true they should have had more interesting conversations but hey, it was good enough. Very entertaining though which is the reason it got a 5. Should read

5.0 out of 5 stars Simply great., November 20, 2009
This has got to be one of the best Harlequin Presents I've ever read. Highly recommended. This is a keeper. Kudos Ms. Marton. 5 stars!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Read, May 19, 2007
This review is from: Keir O'Connell's Mistress (The O'Connells) (Mass Market Paperback)
This was a very good book the characters were likeable and real. There was drama humor and sexy parts in the book, but I felt the hero and heroine spent too much time trying to dislike each other. I would have given the book five stars if the dislike wasn't dragged on for longer than I thought necessary.

The conclusion was one of the best I've read from HP (starting from when the brothers visit). Recommended Read

4.0 out of 5 stars Keir O'Connell's Mistress by Sandra Marton (Large Print Harlequin), October 26, 2005

Description from the book back cover:

Keir O'Connell knew it was time to leave Las Vegas when he became consumed with desire for Cassie, a dancer who worked at the Desert Song, his family's famous hotel. The heat of the Nevada desert must have addled his brain. So Keir headed east and set himself up in business, though thoughts of the dancing girl he'd left behind wouldn't leave his head. And then there Cassie was. She'd somehow gotten herself employed as his new restaurant manager. Keir's rule had always been to never mix business with pleasure, but now he just had to take a gamble ... he'd keep Cassie on as his manager and make her his mistress!

This one is a quick read, easy to follow and very passionate. The characters are well-developed, given the forum. It definitely takes you to a different place. You'll read it more than once.

5.0 out of 5 stars The First in the Series - A Wonderful love story, September 18, 2005

This review is from: Keir O'Connell's Mistress (The O'Connells) (Mass Market Paperback)
I loved Keir's story, the first in the series. Keir the oldest had so much to live up to and was, well let's say stubborn and proud. If this book is any indication as to how the others will follow, then it's going to be an incredible series.

However, I already know what ever Sandra Marton writes is going to be wonderful as I think I've read everything she's ever written!
