4.0 out of 5 stars Keisha
I liked this title - - it wasn't TCP's best but it was entertaining. To be fair to the author, I didn't think the grammar was awful, definitely showed improvement. To the last reviewer, don't you mean some sentences didn't make "sense"? Maybe you aren't quite sure how to spell, either...

2.0 out of 5 stars garbage...str8 garbage
I was so disapointed in this one. I've read quite a few triple crown books and loved them all but this one was by far the worst. First the book was extremely boring. 2nd, the story line was horrible. The plot against Clarence and Danny Boy was horrid. just overall horrible. save your money

Keisha was a decent read. I think Darrell DeBrew did a good job for his debut novel.

Keisha played her role well in matching wits with Sally,'The Pinstriped Bitch' as well as Clarence and Danny Boy. It was interesting enough to keep your attention in that you wanted to know if she was able to avenge her parents deaths.

I could tell that this book was written by a male because the emotions were played down.

Mr. DeBrew, you did a good job! Wishing you continued success!

3.0 out of 5 stars This Book Was Okay..., March 29, 2007
This review is from: Keisha (Triple Crown Publications Presents) (Paperback)
THIS BOOK WAS KIND OF SLOW IN THE BEGINNING. USUALLY IT TAKES ME ABOUT ONE OR TWO DAYS TO READ A BOOK, BUT BECAUSE IT WAS SO SLOW, I READ THIS BOOK IN THREE/FOUR DAYS.

KEISHA WANTS TO GET REVENGE ON HER SWEETHEART BUT IS BASICALLY LOOKING FOR THE RIGHT WAY TO GET HIM GOOD BECAUSE OF THE WAY HE MADE HER SUFFER BY KILLING HER MOTHER. THE WAY SHE GOT HIM BACK WASN'T EXACTLY WHAT I WAS EXPECTING. I BEGAN TO FEEL BAD FOR CLARENCE BECAUSE WHEN HE KILLED HER MOTHER, HE REALLY DIDNT MEAN TO. SHE WAS SHOOTING AT HIM FIRST.

OVERALL, THIS BOOK WAS OKAY. A LOT OF FRIENDS SAY THAT THIS BOOK WAS THE BOOK THEY HAVE READ. THIS BOOK DOESNT EVEN COME CLOSE TO THE OTHER BOOKS THAT I HAVE READ.

ANYWAY, DARRELL DID A GOOD JOB WITH THE VOCABULARY, HE HAS A GOOD CHOICE OF WORDS. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.

This was not for me... giving it two stars is a stretch. I mean it was so boring. It took me two weeks to read this slowwww drawn out book. It couldn't even keep my attention. The last two chapters were the best so that's why I am giving it two stars. I will not be purchasing any more books from this author. I am glad I borrowed this from a friend because I would have taken it back and requested a refund. I can't believe this was a Triple Crown Publication this is the first book I have read from them that I truly didn't like!! Don't get it no....

3.0 out of 5 stars JUST OKAY... could have been better, November 20, 2007
By
This review is from: Keisha (Triple Crown Publications Presents) (Paperback)
This book was just okay to me. It was a good read, but I normally finish books in two days at the most and to be honest this book slowed me down in my reading. The first chapter started off juicy and then the next 6 or more chapters were really slow, then it picked back up but seemed like it drug on and took for ever to end.

The book is about Keisha avenging her mothers death that was at the hands of her sweetheart. 90% of the book is the plotting of the revenge and the last chapter or so is the actual revenge. Keisha could have done so much more to retaliate against her sweetheart but what i found in the book was to be minimal. I don't know maybe it was because she still had love for him.

Again this book was ok. I wish I would have waited until one of my girls came across the book and borrowed it from her.

3.0 out of 5 stars Please Stop, August 3, 2007
This review is from: Keisha (Triple Crown Publications Presents) (Paperback)
Three stars for this book is a strech. I mean it was so boring I can't even get through it the only thing keeping my attention was a sexy Clarence is in the book. I mean to me the book focused more on the sally's character then keshia. Maybe the book should have been called Sally. Not to mention everything was so drug out. I flipped to almost the end of the book and keshia and C was just getting back up. Then I really lost interest. I mean come on it was so unrealistic, gow she gone still love someone who killed her mother. What a confused indiviual, and yes her feelings were really down played alot. I will not be purchasing any more books from this author. Please don't waist your money on this book. RUN RUN AS FAST YOU CAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars GREAT READ!!, June 25, 2007

This book was very good, not your ordinary hip hop novel. The plot was original and the characters vivid and believeable.
