Overall a surprisingly great product, and a price that can't be beat.
My pull out keyboard tray does not have enough room for my mouse...hence this purchase. It is perfect in most respects...
making room for the mouse, swinging it away when not in use, positioning it closer for a more comfortable usage (for myself).
The cons are that, for me, the mouse seems to set a bit low, which turns out to be quite uncomfortable when in use for long periods. I have temporarily solved this by putting something on the pad to raise the level of the mouse (still allowing it to swing away). The other con (minor also) is that the bottom twist cap (meant to hold platform on, though it doesn't fall when the cap does) keeps falling off. Apparently I have not figured how to lock it into place...maybe just not twisting it hard enough? But, I hate to force a piece of plastic. Not yet enough of an issue for me to remove the whole tray and take a look at what I might be doing wrong, or if it is a manufacturing issue.
Frankly, I find this product to be expensive for what it is, but I can't live without it. I must have bought half a dozen of them over the past several years and usually have one at home and another at work. If you are sitting at a conventional desk, it is too high to mouse comfortably and maybe you don't want to drill holes in the furniture.
The product's greatest convenience - that it clamps on without damaging the desk - is its greatest weakness. They are all too easy to break, which is why I've bought so many of them. A tray that screwed on, preferably with a metal rather than plastic attachment, would probably be much sturdier. And the truth is, every platform that's broken has been my fault. The tray just can't take much impact without cracking the plastic attachment and I guess I'm clumsy. I broke the last one (and probably the one before that) when I was crawling around on the floor installing a video card and then came up carelessly and crack . . .
Now, apart from being careful, there's an easy solution to this particular problem: the platform swivels! So if you get in the habit of swiveling it under the desk whenever you're not using it it will be out of harm's way. Maybe this time I'll take my own advice.
Anyway, a very useful and unique product for which you should shop around for the best price and once you've bought it, move it out of the way when you aren't using it. I just installed my most recent purchase and already I'm happier :)
The tray's rotation is stepped (not smooth). The rotation steps are not overly firm - perfectly good for me. The tray rotates about 12° per step (or ~~1" per arced step).
Tray is thick molded (and assembled) plastic (with metal??). For me, the tray flexes by ~~1/4" vertically. With flex its resistance stiffens, and it does not feel at all scarily close to breaking. The tray's clamp is sturdily stamped metal, and encased on the public side (shown in photo) with fingerprint-friendly satin black plastic. I believe a white model is also available.
Timid assemblers (like me) might under-tighten the lower cap nut (not shown in photo, and not seen when assembled). My cap nut fell off when I rotated the tray by 360° (before clamping it to my table). So I grabbed the clamp side too, and using both my hands I gradually twist-tightened the cap nut and clamp, until I felt a somewhat subtle lock-snap. Otherwise, assembly requires three simple tool-free steps.
Not shown on the photo (ahem) is a ~1/2" x 1 1/2" Kelly logo. It's attached to the black vertical face (see photo) with sticky glue.Read more ›

OMG! This is so convenient. Fits my desk perfectly, easy to install, keeps my mouse right by my side and swivels under the desktop when not in use. A good size also. Read morePublished 6 months ago by ROZZYPOO
For the amount paid I do not believe the quality is up to par. The entire thing is plastic and not very thick. The main issue though is with the mouse pad attached to it. Read morePublished 6 months ago by Confessions of a Shopaholic
It does what it says it will do. Easy to assemble and attach to the desk. The only problem I had is that the cap that goes on the bottom to lock the assembly in place was not... Read morePublished 11 months ago by Dawn M. Spencer

Works as expected. Would have preferred if I could have attached it to the keyboard tray itself in the reverse set up i.e. above the tray but below the table. Read morePublished 18 months ago by Saket Kapur
