More About the Author

After forty years of writing business, technical and financial copy, W. R. A. Lewis decided to marry his love for the written word to his long-neglected inner geek. Kelm's Revenge is the first in a series of illustrated stories created entirely using free and low-cost digital software. Teo's Big Deal is the second in that series.

Rat's Chance, a text-only novella about the adventures of Persi and Sampers, is another foray into the world of bizzare fiction using the same set of software. A spoof on pulp detective fiction, it follows the adventures of former janitor Henry Sampers and his sidekick Persi as they try to enter the romentic world of the private eye. Their edge? Persi is a randy telepathic rat with an IQ of 180!

Are there more stories in the future? There certainly are a number of other ideas fermenting in his fevered brain. First he needs to finish the Nursodian saga (there are at least four stories there). He hasn't yet tried any serious digital animation, so that might happen, as well. More Adventures of Persi and Henry are likely.
Who knows what further mischief lurks in the heart of Lewis? Well, the Shadow do, but he's not talking.
Lewis lives in Oakton, VA with his incandescently beautiful (as well as dangerously smart) wife Linda and Commander Barkley of the Lost Planet Canines, the one-eyed wonder dog. Oh yeah, every so often he tries to sing and play the guitar at the same time.

I was a bit hesitant about getting this short story, but I got it to read to my grandchildren. I, and my grandchildren, enjoyed it very much. They have asked me to try to find "the further adventures" of Kelm so I can share them with them also. So I guess I will search for more like stories and change the names if I have to. ;-)
