4.0 out of 5 stars Mixed Feelings about This
I was fairly set on getting a cooler for the pool. Nothing hurts your feet more than the hot pavers around the pool baking in the sun when you have to walk over to the garage fridge to grab another drink.

I purchased it based on the price and the 2 good reviews on Amazon.

Pros:
Easy to inflate
Made of fairly tough material
Cord...

3.0 out of 5 stars cooler float
These were gifts for our neighbors and since it is winter we have no idea how they work as yet, but our neighbors were excited about trying them out next summer

Cord to attach to yourself to keep your beer near you
Inflates Easily
Ice stayed cold/frozen for quite a while
Drinks fit snugly into the holders

Cons:
With ice, I barely got 6 bottles of beer in this cooler. I know the description mentions cans, but I haven't drank beer from a can since college.

Overall, if you are buying this for personal use, pick one up, it is a very good little cooler. But if you are buying this so that friends dont have to get up and go to the fridge when they are swimming at your house, buy a few of them...they don't hold nearly enough.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very durable, August 17, 2008

Cooler was better made than expected for the price. Also we were able to place about 10 beverages in the cooler with ice. The cooler floated down a 6 mile river raft ride (pretty mellow class 1) kept everything cold and came away with no damage.

This cooler is amazing!!! I was looking for something like this for a real long time and the wait was worth it, just think about being inside a pool or the beach and you don't have to get out to get your beverage (works incredible with beer bottles) or a refill. It holds up to 6 bottles or cups in the cupholdres, so there's enough place for your and your buddies drinks. The cord is really useful to get it around your wrist so it won't get carried away by the tide.

An awesome product for anyone who likes the outdoors fun in the water and the price is a bargain.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice little cooler, July 20, 2008

I was a little concerned about buying this based upon the reviews mentioning the small space. I was able to get three bottles of beer, a water and six juice boxes with ice and still hade more room. It floates very well too. I love getting a cold beer without leaving the pool.

The cooler is made to be portable with it's built in case... takes a little sense to get the case to self store though. Once you have it assembled - yes assembled, this cooler is the best. Very well made. Spacious. It has six cup holders built in around it. Get one of those automotive self extinguishing ashtrays and just pop it in a cup holder and you have a self contained floating bar. Cigarettes and cell phones fit in a zippered side pocket and are very safe from getting wet. This cooler just makes my sunburn a little more tolerable.... great product.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great little cooler, March 4, 2009

I use this with an above ground pool, and it works well. The waves don't topple it, and the numbered container holders keep people from drinking the wrong beverage.

Even on super hot days, the cooler -- if kept with ice -- does a fine job of chilling the beverage.

Well worth the money!

This is the best floating cooler ever. We go to Mexico (Rocky Point) each year and have always wanted a cooler that would float out in the water with us. This cooler stayed afloat the entire time and kept the content cold. Plus it was easy to open when floating out at sea. (We also had the big Bobber with us, and that cooler filled up with sea water, plus it's impossible to open when your on a float.)

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome for river tubing!!!, June 28, 2011

I bought two of these about a year ago, have been tubing down class 2-3 rapids and this cooler was tough enough to hold up to the challenges a years later. I have some normal wear and tear but for going over rocks on the rivers and being dragged around they have been more than adequate! Four of my friends have now bought some since it's the best thing they have been able to find. I would highly recommend this for tubing or evening hooking onto the raft.

4.0 out of 5 stars Cooler serves it's purpose, April 17, 2011

I bought this cooler to ship to my sister's house in Arizona for when I arrived with my other sisters for our annual sister's visit. It arrived the same day we did and she was thrilled with it. It is very convenient to have your favorite beverages floating around the pool with you especially when that is where we spent most of our time. It was deep enough to hold about 8-10 cans/bottles with ice and it chilled them very nicely. It was easy to use and stayed inflated for the entire week that we were visiting. I'd recommend this product for purchase.

4.0 out of 5 stars best bang for the buck for a river trip, August 29, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Kelsyus Floating Cooler (Sports)
Got this for a 3 day river tubing trip and it is irreplaceable. I attached this beverage dingy to my tube (with some rope and carabiners) and always had cold drinks on hand. Enough spots (numbered, no less) for your friend's drinks too. Like other reviewers have pointed out - the main cooler compartment is much smaller than they let on. It's possible to cram 6 cans in there with ice or maybe 10 without. They must have been using the 6 outside in the holders in the manufacturer's calculations.

The construction is solid and the outer fabric casing protects it from rocks and branches and allows you to enjoy the great outdoors. Said covering doubles as a carrying pouch w/ strap once it's deflated = nice touch. Will definitely hold its own in a pool, the covering will take plenty of abuse.

My only beef is that I was looking forward to stashing small items in the zip pocket on the side but mine didn't have one (newer model?). I ended up putting things like keys/ID in a dry-bag and put that into the main cooler compartment.

Transporting it full was a tad awkward but the side handles helped a lot. I almost ordered the Airhead (Kwik Tek) floating cooler because it has a detacheable cooler w/ strap but it was more expensive. I guess it depends on how you're going to use this. Kwik Tek Airhead Aqua Oasis

Bottom Line: This is one of the best floaters out there for the price. Durable, holds pretty much the same as the rest, easy to transport once deflated, lets you know which drink is yours, and most importantly - keeps your main drinks cold.
