We just purchased this for our summer beach vacation. Set up was very easy and doable in moderate wind. Very light and much better sun protection than an umbrella. Stakes very easily and can also be weighted down with 4 small attached bags that can be filled with sand or rocks. Can easily seat 2 chairs inside of it and sit and enjoy the beach. The kids also loved playing inside of it. Very easy to collapse and roll up; we were able to get almost all of the sand out of it each day. Over-all a nice addition to our annual beach trek. Will also use as a secondary shelter for car camping, but wouldn't use as a tent in inclimate weather.

Great "little" tent for setting up on the beach. I say "little" because I didn't pay much attention to the measurements given. This baby is 9 feet across. Plenty of room to keep a picnic out of the sun. Sets up pretty easily. Well made - typical Kelty quality. Don't try to camp out in this though! I doubt if it would hold up to a storm...

I bought this cabana for shade in the desert. there are no trees or anything else for shade, so this Kelty Cabana was a perfect fit.

At night we kept our food on a table inside the cabana so the local wildlife wouldn't be eating our dinner. For this purpose it was decent but not perfect because it doesn't zip completely closed. If it zipped all the way, it would have got 5 stars. I wish I knew why they didn't just make the zipper extend another 3 feet.

In the morning we use it to change into riding gear, and this thing really gives you privacy.

in the afternoon we use it for shade, and as long as the windows are down, it works great. We also keep our cooler inside it to keep the sun from melting the ice too fast, and the cooler doubles as a seat.

If you are going to use in a windy area, I would buy some good tent spikes. This thing held up with 30mph gusts, but only because I used 10" galvanized tent spikes. It will catch wind like a kite otherwise.

If you are tent camping, I recommend buying this cabana for shade and privacy when using your sleeping tent is just too hot or inconvenient.

Fantastic product. easy to assemble. Spacious. We have a 1 bedroom apartment and use it as the "spare room" when we have guests to stay in our living room. It fits an queen size aerobed inside (the legs are hanging out a bit but gives plenty of privacy otherwise). When the guests have gone, it doubles as a fun playspace for our toddler! Amazon delivered within 24 hours of ordering.

Impossible to go to the beach without one of these. We have a 1y/o baby and this cabana provides the perfect space for him to play in a safe environment when there is too much sun. In addition we can change his diapers and feed him in there. As of the tent itself is well built, if appropriately placed and anchored to the floor can sustain moderate to strong winds. Spacious and easy to clean and roll up.
Not a single complain so far... I used it in two trips... intensively and have not found a single tear in the fabric... only thing that should be improved are the poles... you insert one segment into each other but at the seams you have a ridge that will not slide easily when putting up or especially when bringing down the tent.

Other than that excellent choice.

This is priced at $99.95 on the Kelty website! I don;t understand why it should cost more on Amazon. I usually shop on Amazon for discounted deals.

best sunshade ever. worth the money for the sun protection provided. not to mention you can zip all your stuff up inside it while playing in the water. perfect for two adults who like to bring everything and be comfortable while enjoying the beach.
