The product title, "Chlorine Stabilizer Pool and Spa Chemicals" indicates it should work effectively in both pools and spas. However, the actual product label only specifies pool-use, and the granular particles are on the large size and they did not seem to dissolve well in my hot tub/spa.

I ended up measuring some of the product into a bowl, then adding some hot tub water, and mashing the granules with a metal spoon until the particles became much finer. Then I was able to pour this into my filter compartment. The active ingredient is Cyanuric Acid, and will help raise your Cyanuric Acid levels and stabilize the chlorine. The product comes in a rather large 4-pound container (compared to other hot tub chemical containers).

I would like to see the manufacturer offer this product in a version made especially for hot tubs/spas by having finer granular particles and a smaller, 1-pound container. After using this product, I would recommend it for swimming pools only.
