WOW! Do you remember the old 1961 Ken fashions? Made of real wool, zippers, and timely argyle fashions? You don't get it QUITE as nice as back then, but this is one of the highest quality Ken Fashions that Mattel has released since the golden years.

I confess that I love the sweater-I wish I had one just like it! The return of Argyle and vintage motifs suits my taste perfectly, and it's wonderful to see Mattel going along with the trend. These new fashions cost more than the typical 1$ fashions (which are also pretty bland and obviously of cheap quality) but they are so much better than what I remember playing with Ken back in the early 90's.

The sweater is a pale blue with white mountain decals. It is made with soft materials and feels just like a real sweater. The only flaw in its design is that it has the standard velcro enclosing on the back. This is an observation more than a complaint; this is supposed to be a child's toy after all. It comes with a pair of matching blue and white slip on shoes and tan pants, and a pair of grey sunglasses to complete the winter look.

I bought three of these. One to keep in the package, one for my modern ken to display, and one for my vintage 1961 Ken. It looks good in all three forms, and I hope to see more of the same quality from Mattel. More argyle!

The item is great, but don't buy any of these barbie clothes online. I was looking through them, and for the single outfits like these ones, I got for about three bucks at Wal Mart. Cute clothes, but not worth the price online.
