This is one of, if not the best book available on the techniques of sharp focus realistic painting. The "how to" in this book is in depth, including medium mixtures and even what brushes are used. The book has step by step photos of paintings in progress and detailed instructions. This is the only book I have ever worn out from use. Get it while you can.There ia also a very good video of Ken Davies working that compliments this book perfectly.

Mr Davies shows any artist who wants to learn about realistic compositions how he accomplishes his intensive work.
After reading the book, I was able to work through some problems I was having with textures in my own paintings. I was happy to find this book through Amazon.com. It came as promised in great condition. So, thanks to Ken Davies and to Amazon. |
