Customer Reviews

Great on/off road traction.
James Frese
One note, VERY VERY stiff side wall bead area, when mounting insure tire is quite warm, take your time with the spoons and use alot of lube.
sp61gordon
No problem with dirt roads and trails and way better than 606's on pavement.

I have run this tire on two dual sport (enduro) bikes for several years. I've tried Shinko 244 and Michelin Karoo's. Both of which wore out in 3000 miles or less. I can get 4500 to 6000 miles on a K270 Kenda. The 6 ply rating means, for me, no flats as of yet. My bikes are usually used for off road trails and these tires are great for dry pack, rocks, gravel roads, wet and dry steet use. They do ok in mud as a 50/50 tire but not as well as a full knobbie would do. Dunlop 606's are the best DOT knobbie for mud. I'm on my 3rd Kenda rear tire with my Suzuki DR650. They are loud on the freeway but all knobbie type tires are. Usually these tires sell for $65.00 so shop around...

Quick service for a tire needed for a Spring ride, suitable for a Dualsport ride on mostly gravel roads with acceptable wear on pavement. Spring will eventually get here.

first tires after factory IRC that came with the new Honda. They (rear) went a solid 4500 with maybe a bit of tread left in the center. These Kenda tires set higher (got 4.50) and just fit on the rascal. Look great have six rows of knobs instead of five and the knobs couldn`t be too much deeper. After breaking in I tried paved cornering and wonderful. Hit some back gravel and dirt forest roads and had to get used to the back end feeling like I had a sticky yet jello like side to side feel. I hope it lasts at least 5000. I got a 3 inch front tire to match it and in a thousand more miles or so will pop it on too. Just love the bike with mpg from 74 to 91! (average mid 80s). Can`t get enough and with all of the back "roads" in the foothills of NC the honeymoon goes on with new rubber on the back.

I say 50/50 tire, but in reality, unless you are going up a mountain on wet clay, this is a great off road tire. I ride every day, 365 days a year, on and off road. This tire corners nicely on pavement, isn't loud to an extreme like my previous tires,(D606). Kendas need to warm up a bit so don't get excited if you squirrel after rolling on to heavy within your first mile or so. A pair of these will do you just fine for the everyday and are dandy for trail work. Note, Not a Sand tire, and if you are a Nube, Let some air out before you hit the trails.

Like others very stiff on putting on rim. This tire is more a 40/60 tire. Got it on pavement and it felt very slippery. I use to take curves at 40mph now afraid to do 30 mph. I ride more rode during week then dirt. The plus side is i live on a gravel road and stock tire could go about 20 mph this kenda will allow me to go 35 plus. Grips great there. So depending on your ride think about the application. KLR 650 Have 1000 miles on it and only lost 1.5 mm of tread. This should last 5k better than stock.

Cheap, I get about 1500 miles of aggressive riding out of them. Perfect in gravel and work good on pavement and dirt. They even do better in sand than I had expected but not great. For the price you can't beat them, and don't feel bad for being so rough on them. I was backing them into corners and drifting out for 1500 miles before performance started to suffer.
