Wear like iron, flat resistant,
I've used the 1.25 inch version of these for quite sometime now. They are the most flat resistant tire, I've ever found. I'm a heavy (250+ pound) recumbent rider. Most rear tires I've used are good for a couple flats a month on average, and usually wear out in 1500 miles. These tires average a flat a year, (I'm not exaggerating)and I average at least 3000 miles on a rear tire, and yet to wear out a front.
They may have a little more rolling resistance than a Schwalbe Stelvio, but their durability more than makes up for it. I've cut an old one up to see whats inside, and found a thick orange belt inside. Kendas version of the flak jacket I guess. Pretty sticky on a dry road, but are a bit slick on wet roads.

I am using the 26X1.5" 100PSI version of this tire on a hardtail mountain bike. I put about 550 miles on my first set and got only 2 flats in the rear because of road trash, as I ride very dirty roads. They ride great, handle well, and wear nicely. I pulled the rear because it somehow got sliced by something down through the tread rubber (but not the inner casing) and I didn't notice it until I was checking the tire for glass/metal as I usually do after a ride. Considering how much trash I ride through, they have held up extremely well. I don't expect ANY tire to be completely flat-free where I ride. I will probably superglue the slice closed, put them back on and ride them another 500 miles or more. They have plenty of tread left, the front still looks almost new.
I'm always looking for cheap things that perform well, and these do the job. I've bought a second set as backup for when these finally give out. For the price, you can't beat them. I'd also like to add I wish Kenda made a 24X1.5" version of this tire... there are no good high PSI road tires in the ISO 507 size.

I have used these tires on my boys' bicycles for @ 2 years. They allow high air pressure and maintain a solid rim - even under the most rugged conditions. Also, these tires have plenty of rubber and will last a considerable time. I highly recommend them to anyone wanting a durable high-pressure street tire.

This tire is a (28-451). Look on the side of your existing tires and check your size. The most important number is the 400 number. They usually are 406 or 451 on this size. This is wheel and/or inside tire diameter. Divide by 25.4 to get inches.

I started commuting last year using my hardtail mtb. After awhile, I really got annoyed with the knobbies. Loud and slow. So started looking at slick tires. Considered the Schwalbe Marathons which is $$$, Specialized Nimbus $$, Conti Gatorskins $$$ and a few others I can't remember. Since I am not sure how long will I commit to riding my bike to work, I wasn't ready to shell out too much money on bicycle tires. Then someone recommended me to try Kenda Kwest as he has good experience with them. The $ was great! Bought a pair 26"X1.5" to replace knobbies.
My commute consists of 70% paved roads and 30% unpaved. Parts of the paved roads traverse through a 1km stretch of industrial area littered with metal debris, broken glass, screws, road cracks, potholes, railway crossings etc. I have to say these Kendas took it all in. Never once did I get stranded due to flat by this tire. They roll fast on the paved area while providing sure traction (almost as good as the knobbies) on the loose gravel sections. I max out the psi to ensure minimal rolling resistances. I've accumulated about 1000km of commuting distance so far and the tires show no signs of wear. Overall I am satisfied with these Kenda Kwests. And in fact, I am considering getting the 700c version for my roadbike which will see commuting duties. Despite the lack of sexy features like Kevlar, polyamide lining etc... the Kenda Kwest has not given me any reason to switch especially once I factor in the price.

changed my stock 26 X 1.95 knobby tires to these. Makes my Jamis Explorer 3 comfort bike even nicer to ride with less roll resistance. They don't have too many grooves and since i do mostly pavement riding i hope they hold up. Pumped them right up to 100 psi. Seem very sturdy so far. .

I put these tires on my MT bike and I love them. I plan on doing a sprint triathlon and wanted my MT bike to be a bit faster, which it is now. I have put around 250 miles on these tires and they are holding up very well, no flats as yet. I recommend these tires to anyone who is looking to turn their MT bike into a daily commuter, you will not be disappointed.

Possibly he best buy on the planet. The high pressure version of the Kwest is double the price of the lower pressure version. I got this for less than bike shops sell the cheaper version.

Aggressive tread but not knobby. Smooth ride on paved surfaces. 451 inner diameter. Looks good for 1500-2000 miles on back wheel of BikeE recumbent.

The tires on our Sun recumbant bicycles were worn out and we wanted to replace them with the same kind we had originally. After checking Sun's website for the brand, I checked Amazon. Of course they had them and at a good price. They arrived in a few days as promised. I love Amazon! Thanks for the good service. You'll be hearing from me again!
