4.0 out of 5 stars great tire for the price, June 12, 2008
This review is from: Kenda REDLINE Kross Supreme Tire 700 X 35C Wire Bead / 60TPI Black Skinwall (Misc.)
Definitely not a fast tire by any means, but has excellent grip. This tire is perfect for transforming a universal bike into a more of an mtb cycle.

Bought primarily to put more tire between the ground and my flat-bar road bike rims when riding gravel roads and easier trails. Be aware that it will increase rolling resistance and decrease traction and stability on pavement. If you have a road bike and want to make it a little more versatile, this is a great tire. It should be fine for a cyclocross as well, which is what it's made for.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great gravel tire, January 8, 2012

This review is from: Kenda REDLINE Kross Supreme Tire 700 X 35C Wire Bead / 60TPI Black Skinwall (Misc.)
I have these 35c tires on my Dawes cyclocross bike. Mounted on Alex DA28 19.6mm wide wheels the tires measure 32mm tall and 34mm wide. Most of my riding is 60% gravel road and light singletrack with 40% pavement. The large lugs give me great confidence on the loose over hard trials I often encounter on my rides. Running 75 psi gives me a descent road ride but as you can guess the noise and squirming feel of the large lugs are noticeable on the pavement. I'll gladly give up some road worthiness for the control in the gravel and mud. So far after 100+ miles of mixed terrain riding I've yet to find a flaw.
