Just as good as Canon 2x at half the price!
I bought this over the Canon EF 2x II Extender, at the same time I also rented the Canon 2x to do a comparison, and make sure I made a decent choice with the purchase. My findings were that the canon was maybe a slight hair sharper at f/16, but the Kenko was a slight hair sharper at f/5.6. At F/8 and F/11 I couldn't distinguish between the canon and Kenko teleconverters...

Not the greatest
I wasn't impresses with the image quality, especially at the top end of my zoom lense. Also at the top end, it wouldn't focus.

I bought this over the Canon EF 2x II Extender, at the same time I also rented the Canon 2x to do a comparison, and make sure I made a decent choice with the purchase. My findings were that the canon was maybe a slight hair sharper at f/16, but the Kenko was a slight hair sharper at f/5.6. At F/8 and F/11 I couldn't distinguish between the canon and Kenko teleconverters at 100%. My tests were shot on a canon 5d mkII, and 70-200mm f/2.8L IS at 200 and 70mm.
