Kennel-Gear plastic bowls are 1-quart in size, constructed of durable FDA approved polypropylene and dishwasher safe. The system comes with a bowl and kennel bar mount. Our mounting system works on kennel bars, crates, chain link fence and(or) solid surfaces. The bowls securely lock into the kennel bar mount to provide a safe and clean feeding area. Once securely attached the bowls are prevented from tipping, being moved around or played with. With an easy flip of the paw proof lever the bowls simply slide out.

This bowl is designed well, with a lever to remove the bowl that is easy to use and difficult for even a rambunctious puppy to figure out. My teething GSD pup has gone after the attachment part of it with quite a lot of force, and it is still holding together. Also attractive. I got two of the light blue one and use them as water bowls, one in her exercise pen and one in her crate in the bedroom.
Cons: I haven't been able to get it tight enough that it won't move at all when puppy pulls on it. The bowl, though attached well to the attachment part, does wiggle around a bit.

If I had not paid the extra to have this item overnighted and have a puppy in dire need of a product such as this...it would have been sent back instantaneously! It is listed as a one quart capacity. The person who measured the volume is either totally ignorant in how to calculate weights and measures. I just measered the capacity and it is at 1/2 quart ( 2 cups liquid measure ) about .25 of an inch from the top. In case the seller or manufacturer reads this: ONE QUART IS 32 OUNCES NOT 16 ONCES AND A FRACTION. Also why you give the option of color? My young son choose blue and we received a grey bowl. Someone needs to get their act(s) together.
DO NOT PURCHASE THIS ITEM based upon the capacity nor the color. The mounting screws are plastic and do not look sturdy enough for numerous mountings and dismountings. The bowl is of the pet grade that can be purchased at WalMart for a fraction of the price of this unit. Normally, I do not take the time to make a negative comment ( actually this is the first problem I have had with an Item purchased through Amazon) but the amount of deception here is totally uncalled for. I do not know if the seller or manufacturer is to blame for the incorrect volume...I just know that I HAVE BEEN RIPPED OFF! DON'T LET IT HAPPEN TO YOU!

I purchased this bowl because it is advertised as 1 quart (4 cups). Even when filled to the very very top, which is impractical when using it for water, it only holds 3 cups. For water, its usable capacity is only about 2 cups - far short of a quart. I'm giving it 2 stars instead of 1 because it does seem to be designed well, and it is attractive.
