I ordered this watch for my boyfriend. The first watch I received seemed fine except the "dial-feet" or hours of the clock did not align properly (12'oclock was not in the 12 oclock position). Since we were going to have it sized we figured it might not be a big deal but found it odd that it would be manufactured this way. Once at the jewelers they immediately recommended we send it back saying that broken dial feet is surely caused by being dropped or banged in most cases and shouldn't (but could be, not likely though) a manufacturing defect. The cost to fix this annoying issue was $40 minus the sizing. I sent the watch back.

Amazon was kind enough to send out a replacement that day and I received it the next day. UPS which probably would have caused the damage of the first watch delivered the second watch. The second box was visibly damaged. Sure enough opening the box revealed a watch with the links of the chain not connected. My frustrated boy friend found the pin that linked the links together and decided to take it to the jewelers. For a minimal fee they sized and connected the links back together ($20) and now he had a watch he loved. The only thing wrong unfortunately is that one of the subdials is off in correspondence with the actual time. Since we've had varying results with said delivered watches, he decided he'd pay the extra $20 at a later date to have that corrected. (the military time sub dial is off from the actual time by about 01:30 hours) Great watch, poor job by UPS.

My advice is to order watches online only if you're unable to find them in person or you may have a trial and error process experience like I did.

This was a Christmas present for my son. He is currently in college to be a commercial pilot. He loves this watch. It is dressy and functional. He wears it almost every day. He receives constant compliments and questions about where he got it. The only problem is that the pin that attaches the band to the watch case sometimes comes loose. He has had the band detach in the past but was able to re-attach it. Kinda of a drag to have to check it regularly to be sure it is secure. He would not be happy if he were to lose the watch during a pick up game of B-ball due to a short pin. It is on his to-do list to have a jeweler install a more secure pin. All in all he is happy with the gift.
