My husband literally "rips" through his shoes in 6 months. The soles are almost worn through now and he has been wearing them for almost 3 years. He wears them every day bc they are like wearing slippers and since he can wear slippers to work he does.... The tops and sides are torn but he can't part with them. I can't find another pair in size 15 much less in black anywhere so thinking I might stick with the reaction shoes?

I bought a pair of these in black a few months ago when they were on sale. The first time I put them on they seemed a tad tight (but these were the first pair of slip-ons I've ever had). After one or two wears they fit perfect. Now whenever I go out but want to feel relaxed and comfortable I turn to these shoes. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a comfortable and clean looking shoe.

I bought these shoes last week because they were cheap (twenty-one bucks) and from a solid brand. I bought the black model.

The aesthetics of the shoe are up to your judgment; I'll try to detail the difficult-to-divine qualities that aren't listed in the product's description.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that the shoe size was true. They snugly fit; I can understand why a previous reviewer wrote that they hurt the sides of his feet. But for my slender feet, they were godsends.

The construction seems to be solid, with neat stitching, but more time will need to pass for me to arrive at a firmer conclusion (I'll update my review then). The labels at the tongues of the shoes as well as the stickers that came affixed to the soles indicate that the top and side material is leather, so I'm hopeful.

The pictures don't show the velvet true--it doesn't look so monochromatic, but rather takes on a lighter tone depending on the angle of the light.

I'm pleased with these shoes.

For someone who has a lot of trouble with finding comfortable shoes, the Kenneth Cole REACTION Hold Me Close II Fashion Sneaker is one of the best shoes I have ever walked around in. I have purchased 4 pairs in two years. Great shoe but hard to find in my size. Thanks amazon.com!

They look great but hurt on the sides. No wonder they were so cheap! Also I did not realize that the top part of these shoes is not leather but some kind of fake suede, which I suspect will be very hard to maintain.

I have gotten a lot of compliments on these shoes, but that doesn't matter. I was a little leery about getting slip-ons, but I have fallen in love with these shoes. So easy to wear, and yet so subtly stylish. I love Kenneth Cole. Everything they make, for the most part, is very stylish and hip... but not super trendy. Cool brand.
