Very comfortable, size is all screwed up, January 14, 2009

These shoes are extremely comfortable for lace ups. The squared bicycle toe is nice, and the shoe is very stylish. I have two main problems with the shoe however.
1. Length - the length of this shoe is ridiculous. I wear a size 11 dress shoe and purchased this shoe in an 11. The shoes fits just fine, however, my big toe actually stops 3 inches from the end of the shoe. I measured it and the actual length of the size 11 shoe is 13.5 inches long. I have worn these several times and never really noticed it, but I have always looked down at the shoes and thought they looked extremely long, almost like clown shoes. Now I know why. Again, this has not affected the fit at all. No one has ever commented on it and they look fine, but this may cause a problem for some people who are not used to it, especially when walking up stairs. A car could actually run over the end of my foot and I would probably be just fine.
2. Laces - I don't know what it is about these laces but they always come undone. They just don't hold a tight knot and I have to double knot them.
My suggestion, is that these are a great pair of shoes to buy if you can find them heavily discounted, which Amazon does a lot. I would never recommend paying full price for them however, and I certainly wouldn't suggest anyone order a larger size than they normally use.

Fantastic Fit, April 11, 2008
These are a must have for your arsenal. They fit slightly close for medium width but I guess it's the new shoe feel.
Comfortable to drive with, well an AUTO transmission anyway.
Nice soles that don't make noise.... - Great buy!
The shade brown is a bit lighter than portrayed here though but good still.

Stylish and extremely comfortable, February 13, 2008
I bought these for my husband, and he hasn't stopped wearing them. He walks all over DC in them, and they look equally great with jeans or work-wear.
