I absolutely love this bag. It is constructed well, quite spacious, and really quite beautiful. It looks great but more importantly it serves my needs perfectly. As a graduate student I needed something to carry my laptop and documents in addition to the occasional textbook or two. This bag fits everything very well and has extra pockets in front to keep my pens, cards, cell phone, and other small items organized. I love that I can carry it comfortably over my shoulder or in hand as a briefcase. It is appropriate for business and teaching related endeavors in addition to everyday school related usage.
Being genuine leather, I imagine some wear will be obvious over time but I happen to appreciate a worn appearance.
I should note that as a female, the color and size of the bag (I have the tan version), comes across as professional but not masculine. I wouldn't go as far as to say that the bag is feminine, because it isn't. In fact, my boyfriend looks dashing and professional when he carries it. Still, I can carry it when I am wearing jeans or a dress or a suit. It is amazingly versatile.
At the vastly reduced price of 150 from 400, this bag is a steal.

I bought this for my husband. It looks great and fits his 15" laptop. But one of the strap fasteners is a hook contraption and the strap keeps coming out of it causing the bag to crash to the ground.

After a month of daily use I think I can write a meaningful review (everything looks nice after unboxed).
The pro of this bag is the amazing look, you'll receive tons of compliments
It is not a good quality bag. It claims to be full grain leather, but it is thin, and it is not dyed till the lower layer. This is visible at the bottom or corners, if you scratch it a tiny bit, the white leather will show up. To disguise this, they paint the edges in brown. Another thing is that the strap is nylon, and though it's seems resistant, it wears and does not look as neat as in the first day.
The rings that hold the strap do not look very sturdy. So far they were fine, but they do not inspire a lot of confidence (the screw that hold them is becoming a bit loose).
It does look big in the outside, but the inside is not that big. I carry a binder and a 10 inch laptop, and that's about it. A book won't fit once you have that inside. (A 15 inch laptop fits too).
Overall, it is nice but don't expect an astounding quality, after all is made in China.

My wife bought this for me as a gift when I graduated from college and prepared to begin grad school. It is a great looking bag, with several compartments for papers, laptop, books, pens, Kindle, and phone. The front compartments are secured with two straps, while the rear compartment is easily accessible by lifting the flap. Expands to accommodate extra files, books, etc. The leather (mine is dark brown) is thick and sturdy, and will no doubt soften and become more supple with years of use. It has a brown web strap to sling it over your shoulder (My only wish is that the strap was leather, but it's a very minor complaint) but I have to say if the bag is loaded with books it is pretty hard on your shoulder/back; I prefer to carry it with the handle when it's stuffed full. I feel very professional when I carry this bag and have gotten numerous compliments on it. I expect it will provide many years of use as I become one of those "seasoned" educators I so admire.

I received the brown version of this yesterday for my birthday and it's perfect. The size is perfect for what I need and it looks real classy. My 2011 15" Mac Book Pro fits perfectly in the laptop compartment, located in the main compartment, with my iPad fitting in the remainder of the main compartment. Please note that after you fit a laptop as thick as a 15" Mac Book Pro in the main compartment, there isn't much froom for anything thicker than, say, 2 or 3 magazines. Luckily the document compartments on the backside of the bag make up for this with enough space to fit an "average" sized textbook and a couple other smaller items.
The clasps are a little annoying to undo, requiring two hands per clasp, so I usually just leave it unclasped unless I won't be accessing anything in the main compartment for awhile. It's okay to leave it unclasped for the most part because the bag keeps its shape (due to a hard backing board between the main compartment and the backside compartment), and because the clasps are somewhat magnetic by themselves.
Overall, I'm really happy with this gift. Some folks think it looks like a "murse" but I have to argue otherwise as it's too big to be considered a murse but not big enough to classify as bulky. Get this for yourself if you want a functional bag with just a little bit more style than the typical briefcase.

My wife purchased this bag for me for my bday last fall (2012). Bag was (is) great. Beautiful color, feel, quality...even smell. Bag carries well, fits my macbook pro, charger, notepads and a couple books if needed. Only downer is that the leather stain rubs off on my hip when walking. I notice on my khaki pants which I wear for work occasionally (stain washes right out in regular laundry). I figure at some point it will stop, or maybe I'll try some leather sealer.
That was the review for the bag I got off Amazon 6 months ago. I needed a cool gift for a close friend of mine this past month and he has admired my bag; so I thought I'd get him one too. I order the bag and it is very, very different then the one I got. Mine is the brown color in the picture; the one Amazon sent me was so dark it was nearly black (strap still brown). Didn't look good, hinges for strap and handle were even different shape. It was obvious that Kenneth Cole started using a different manufacturer...just seemed a little bit cheaper. So, I figured I just got a lemon, sent that one back and ordered another one. It arrived and stain was still very, very dark (almost black), which makes the stitching really stand out and bag looks more black and white than brown and earthy. Anyway, I'm sure bag still holds stuff the same way, but just doesn't leave you with that old academic brown leather bag feel (which is what I was going for). So, I'm sending it back and getting a refund. Bummed.

I purchased this for a 13" Macbook Pro (2011 model) expecting it to be somewhat close in size. It's huge! Amazon's listed specs show 13x8x4, which is incorrect. It's more like 16x12x5. It swallows a 13" Macbook whole with plenty of room to spare. In fact, I can fit two, possibly three similar sized laptops in there, and still have room for all their power adapters. It'll come in handy since I can likely fit school books inside so I'll keep it, but for those just looking for a small bag for their 13" laptop, just know what you're getting. I posted a pic of the macbook in front of the bag, both standing upright to give an idea.
Beautifully made bag though. The leather is very soft and rich and will look gorgeous as it weathers/ages.

Bag has a sturdy handle and strap. The handle and strap rings are screw-fastened into top dowel rod. The handle is very nicely wrapped in leather and comfortable to hold. The strap is sturdy and long enough to allow the bag to be worn over the shoulder or across the body. The strap has a leather shoulder pad that does a good job of staying place, yet allows the bag to be moved from front to side to back of the wearer. The leather is nicely tanned, of a consistent color with few marks, yet slightly distressed and supple to give it that “used” look and feel; and the leather is thick enough to be sturdy but still thin enough to not create a heavy product. Construction is well-done with sturdy stitching inside and out and adds a nice cosmetic trim to the bag as well. There are plenty of pockets to hold everything you could need, including a 15 inch laptop, small portfolio, notebooks or legal pads, business cards, and pens and pencils. The interior lining is smooth and free of anything that might cause papers to catch and tear or bend and also easy to clean (just wipe out with a damp cloth). The snap buckles make the bag hassle-free to open though they do take some getting used to in order to get the feel for when they’re depressed enough to slide past the clasp. This bag is just as functional as it is good looking. Perfect for travel or everyday use, and just as at home in the classroom as it is in the boardroom.

This bag is great and looks nice too. I do have some gripes with it but it performs as a daily commuter bag just fine. I especially like the flap pocket on the back for storing a book, magazine or any other easy access items for using on the subway without opening it all up. It looks really nice and the leather is of good quality. On the downside, it is pretty small. You could fit a lap top and a few books but once you start packing items that aren't flat it starts running out of room fast and can be difficult to close. On a related note, the clasps are a bit tricky to get the hang of since they're not buckles as they appear to be in the photo but slide-in pop-up catches. Also, on a side note, one of the screws that holds the briefcase handle in place came out and went missing so now I only have the shoulder strap. I can't figure out who to ask for a replacement.
Again, despite all these small issues, the bag looks great and serves well in my daily commute. Just don't get this if you're looking to carry a large amount of odd-shaped items everyday.

I purchased this bag because I liked its looks, and it was very nice. After receiving and attempting to put all my stuff (lap top primarily) in it, however, I realized the Reaction bag did not offer enough internal space to allow for all that I need to tote. Additionally, I did not like the strap, which I use all the time. I returned this bag and purchased a McKlein USA Walton Leather 17" Expandable Laptop Case, which was better suited to my needs.
