I bought this bag for my boyfriend who often carries work home and walks to and from work. The bag shipped extremely quickly, of course. I am very pleased at the excellent quality and was pleasantly surprised that there was also a protective bag included (like Coach gives for purses). The bag looks sleek and is also functional and my boyfriend says he loves it and has already gotten a lot of compliments on it. He said he doesn't have any complaints!

First let me just say "WOW!" If I was not already a die-hard Amazon shopper, this purchase would have made me one. Amazon has this bag listed at about one third the suggested retail price and well below what other online retailers are asking. That said and value aside, this is a GREAT bag!

This soft-cover briefcase/satchel is made of very nice, genuine leather and is fully lined. Inside there are two main compartments, two zipper pockets, and holders for a cell phone, two pens, and four card slots, plus there is an open slot on the outside back of the case (perfect for magazines or a newspaper). I feel like it has room for everything to stay organized, without wasting material and space creating "too many" compartments and pockets. The look is sleek and professional, and it arrives very well packaged in a nice drawstring bag and inside a box, so it would make an excellent gift.

The clasps on the front of the bag close securely, but can be a little tricky to open. While I have no real trouble with them, individuals with limited manual dexterity (especially trouble using their thumbs) may find these clasps difficult to open. However, this is the only potential problem I see with this product. Overall, I believe that it is an exceptional bag and a very good value.

I was in the market for a briefcase of some sort because I am a new graduate and I was looking for something to carry with me to job interviews and so forth. I never owned a briefcase but that traditional rectangular hard cased "classic" brief case style was not for me.

I was firstly attracted by the style and sleekness of this briefcase but I saw several reviewers complaining about the buckles and how they are difficult to open, one person even returned his. This had me shocked because I wondered how hard could a leather buckle be to open.

Nonetheless I purchased the product and with the speedy shipping it arrived in 2 days. The packaging is amazing and elegant. Now I am at the point to tackle the buckle issue to open the case...... I tug, twist, turn the buckles but i could not get it push through the loop. THEN I REALIZED there are clips underneath each buckle!!!!!!

The buckles you are seeing in the photos are really just for style! Cosmetic! with ease you can press down the clips underneath each buckle and the flap opens! It is by no means difficult at all. Those of you who were discouraged by reviewers making this seem impossible please do not listen to them

That being said it truly is a very nice briefcase for the price and it definitely looks great with a business suit walkin into interviews as a new grad. It can also fit my 13" Macbook Pro comfortably in one compartment but it does not look like a big bag after all.

I love this product and if you are on the fence, especially about how hard/easy it is to open, trust me.. it really isn't that big a deal. I think people complain about the simplest things.

This briefcase is absolutely wonderful! I think that it is very professional looking, is of great quality, and versatile. I especially like the magnetic closures that it features.

First noticed this on [...], then of course checked on amazon and it was 30% cheaper after shipping and taxes. Got it as a gift for my dad and it's very sharp. Came in an excellent package with a nice cover, to my surprise. It's exactly like the pic.

The design and construction are great, and I liked the look, but the clasps were very difficult to open. I had to lay the case flat and use both hands to open each clasp one at a time. After a couple of days I realized that wasn't going to work and returned the case.

Very high quality briefcase/bag for the price. Soft leather, tight stitching and strong metal parts (like buckles, latches, hooks, etc). Lots of care in the packaging to ensure no scratches or such in delivery. Very light as well. Here's what I can fit in it:

- 15" lenovo laptop (with extended battery)
- laptop power cord (with obligatory power brick)
- ipad with cover
- note pad
- mifi and cell phone
- 2 device chargers and cables
- pens, business cards, other stationary

all this - and it still feels lighter than the standard issue laptop bag i got from lenovo. If you travel, the external pocket comes in handy to store boarding passes and passports w/o having to open up the flap.

When fully loaded or empty, the bag stands upright by itself. Other laptop-specific bags will topple over if laptop is removed.

The only downside is the clasps to open the flap. Takes some time to get used to pressing down on the button while lifting the latches. But the flap is cut perfectly that with little effort you can re-latch both ends.

TIP: True laptop bag comes with rubber "bumpers" on the bottom of the bag for protection against the ground if you accidentally drop your laptop in. As I expected, this briefcase doesn't have any protection other than the outer leather shell. As a quick remedy, I simply left some of the paper packaging that came with it to serve as a small bumper. Not sure how long it will last, but it seems to work ok.

Leather is high quality but soft - so be sure not to check this in when flying as I'm sure it will get scratched. But it's quite compact, so carrying it on shouldn't be an issue.

I take it to work everyday. It fits my gym clothes, lunch, book, wallett, 2 sets of keys and smart phone fairly easily. The latches can be a bit tricky to unlatch unless you lay it down on its back. However they are very nice when closing it and snap shut right away. Seems pretty sturdy and I haven't had any issues with it yet.

Got this for my boyfriend to replace an older one that's showing some wear, and he loves it. It's a good, classic design, large enough to pack a laptop and still stuff in some clothes and a book--a great work/school/overnight bag. Love that it's located ambiguously somewhere between messenger and briefcase. Quality leather with a smooth finish. Shoulder strap is fabric, adjustable, feels sturdy, and has a leather/rubber pad/grip.

As others have mentioned, the buckles are a bit stiff--but not unworkable once you get the angle of attack correct. loosens with time. And the bag works fine unbuckled if you're relying on the shoulder strap anyway.

Overall, great value, I'd recommend!

This briefcase is very light and cannot be used to carry a laptop. No protection at all. The quality is average. I guess it's good if you use it just for a couple of document folders. I ended up returning it.
