Not quite as pretty as the picture...,

Kenneth Cole Sweater Marilyn Neck / B002QB17K8I guess it's obvious in retrospect, but I was a little surprised to see, once it arrived, that this sweater is completely sleeveless. There isn't even a hint of short sleeves - the only thing covering your arms is the cowl that folds down. In the picture, the cowl looks kind of loose, like it easily folds over your arms, but in person, the cowl is fairly tight, which means that moving your arms around causes the cowl to inch up and leave your skin exposed - not ideal for cool winter weather conditions. The overall material is very pretty, but the material is also very scratchy and gently irritates my (admittedly sensitive) skin. My hope is that a little more rinsing will get rid of the scratchy feeling, but of course I would have preferred something a little more soft and non-allergenic. I'll keep the sweater, because it's not a bad sweater, but if I'd tried it on first in a store, I don't think I would have purchased it. ~ Ana Mardoll |
