Excellent lamp, love it as a reading lamp over my daughter's bed, on the wall. Accepts a medium size all-spectrum bulb, which I used, and which provides tremendous light! Otherwise, it accepts a three-way regular incandescent bulb, which allows to control amount of light. Overall a FINE product. Just be sure you have the right dry-wall anchors for the screws - the manufacturer includes what I think are inadequate anchors, so I bought my own for pennies. I actually ended up not using them, as I miraculously positioned the mounting plate over the studs, which makes the dry wall anchors unnecessary.

This is an excellent lamp, attractive and effective. I have three and am ordering a fourth - not because I am replacing any; no, I'm getting another because I like them. I like their looks, I like the white fluted shade, and I like the range of light they spread, so I'm replacing a desk lamp with this. They seem to last a long time - I've had one of them for nearly 16 years.

We ordered through Amazon two lamp fixtures for our bedroom. The only weakness in this order was that by viewing the photo it wasn't clear to us that it was a plug in fixture and that it did not need an electrician for installation.

The good news is that we love it.

I bought two of these lamps for the bedroom so I could eliminate table lamps on the bedside stands. They are inexpensive but they don't really look it. They are convenient and attractive. I'm happy with them.

We bought two of these 20 years ago in a department store and paid $20 more each. These are better made (even though they're made in China) and include brass covers for the power cords. The joints are solid and will probably last longer than we'll own the house. The vendor shipped quickly and the product was received on time. We couldn't be more pleased

Arrived in good condition. It is a bit simple and cheap looking as other reviews have indicated. We use it on a corner wall behind a sectional for a reading light. The product description says it takes an incandescent bulb and that is accurate, I was hoping it would take a CFL but the lampshade holder doesn't provide enough clearance. 3-way switch worked fine with 50/100/150 3-way bulb.

Made this purchase after being totally disgusted with a "touch light" I bought at a big box store. I purchased this and am so much happier. It is very easy to install, works as stated and brings a wonderful change to the room with its' beautiful illumination. I will also mention the high quality and very reasonable price for the same.

For some months I had been searching for just the right wall lamp for my bedroom where I read a an hour or so before going to sleep at night.
With the gift that came from my brother from across the continent, came the discovery of the wall lamp I was looking for, available through Amazon.Com. I placed the order, it arrived in a timely manner, in excellent condition, and I have been proud to have it in my home since receiving it.

The wall anchors are useless. Be sure you have some good ones of your own. The ones you get just fall right into the wall when you try to mount the light. Also, shade had a small crack/hole. Packaging could be a bit better. BUT, the light itself is great. Just what I was looking for.

We bought 2 of these lamps for over-the-bed use about 7-8 years ago. And, they're still going strong. Sturdy & easy to clean. We are in a different house now & want over-the-bed reading lamps again. These have stood up so well and are so handy to use (from the bed), we're getting 2 more for this house. Glad we found them again. The pleated shades are very nice, just wish they were available on the other finishes (bronze, black matte, etc.), instead of just the polished brass. Thanks for the wall anchor tip.
