This is not worth the money. Please do not buy this just to be disappointed. It does not go on smoothly no matter what you do. Spend a little extra money and buy the hard anti glare products the sit over the screen.

My Lenovo 510 had a quite distracting glare even with nothing very bright in the background and this helps when there is nothing very bright, such as a lamp or the sky, in the background. The screen image is not noticeably blurred or darkened.
The screen protector is 2mm narrower and 3mm shorter than the viewable part of my 15.4 in screen. In my package too the sealed envelopes with the screen cleaning gel were completely dried out. Step 2 of the instructions tells you to start cleaning in the upper right corner of the screen and using circular motion, clean in overlapping rows from left to right. Even more confusing is the illustration for step 5, which appears to show the plastic covering of the sticky side of the screen protector being gradually pulled off with your right hand, with your left hand on the bare sticky side, pressing the nonsticky side against the screen. (The artist tried to make the right hand appear to be under the screen protector but he was unable to do that. Same problem in the next illustration.)
Like a previous reviewer, I was also unable to get rid of the air bubbles but I think they are caused by specks of dust which stayed on the screen because I did not use a substitute for the dried-out cleaning gel.

This is a waste of time and money. Does not deter glare, difficult to apply and I never did get all the air bubbles out. Don't waste your money.

This item will do what you want as long as your expectations aren't TOO high. Yes, it does cut down on the glare and yes, it does add a layer of protection to the screen. But unless you have a clean room environment in which to apply it, don't expect a perfect install. Any floating dust particles (or God forbid, CAT hair) seem to want to gravitate towards your pristine surface immediately before the film goes on. The cleaner wipes I got with the kit were dried out and I ended up using some rubbing alcohol, which worked fine. So- it does what it should, but it won't end up winning any points for perfection of appearance.

This product was not worth the money nor the effort. I bought it and tried to apply it but it didn't even fit on my 15.4" screen. I also noticed that the cleaning gel it came with was completely dried up. This product was not worth the money and now I have to send it back to the company to get a refund. The company has a satisfaction guarantee but they don't pay for the return shipping. Therefore, I'm only going to get a total of $11 if I include my shipping costs...

Over 5 years buying stuff on the internet and you have to get a dud once in awhile!

This product arrived with virtually dried up application chemical cleaners
and surface prep stuff. All they did was cloud up my screen and the protector film, fortunately; I was able to clean it off my laptop screen, but there were some anxious moments while I tried!

I advised the seller that he may have acquired some old/outdated stock and suggested they check it out?

All in all, not a recommended item.

Like others I experienced minor bubbling around the edges which is this product's main drawback. Reduces glare nicely and protects the screen just fine.

Also, the little packet of screen cleaner was completely worthless and was totally dried out.

This is a disgrace. It's a single piece of thin transparent material that has to be cut to fit and could not have cost even 3 cents. It is very hard to install and leaves bubbles all over the screen no matter how hard you try to smooth them out. It is about as useful as placing Sara wrap over the screen display. It comes with a few ineffective small packets of cleaner fluid and a bubble scraper/press that is small, flimsy and essentially useless. It has no design -- it's something one can probably but at a Staples store in units of a dozen for $5 -- it in no way is a "skin,"

This is consumer fraud.

Not only is this way over-priced for the merchandise, it is impossible to install without getting impossible-to-remove air bubbles causes by the dust specs that are attracted to the screen protector as you try to install. I tried for an hour, gave up, ripped it off, and threw it away. Don't get burned!

If you are looking for a sheet to significantly reduce glare, this does ok...not great my any means.
