I sit at a computer all day long & needed a sturdy footrest, after buying & returning a couple I had just about given up on finding just what I was looking for. This footrest is well built, sturdy & the ease of changing positions with the click of a button using your foot makes it just awesome!! Just what I was looking for! Good buy!

I just got this and have been using it for the past three days. It is GREAT. It's easy to adjust with the pedal in the middle, and it stays put. I guess you could trip it by accident, but I have not done this yet, so I do not think this is a design flaw. The angling is easy to adjust with your feet.

I use this in my apartment and it feels good on bare feet. I am sure it would be okay with shoes since it's very firm and not squishy at all. THERE IS NO MYSTERY ODOR. I don't know what was going on with the footrests received by other reviewers, but mine has no odor.

The footrest feels solid and not like a piece of cheap plastic. Not flimsy at all.

Great footrest. Feels stable and has significant options for getting it "just right" (i.e., it moves both up and down AND also changes from flat through tilted at an angle - you can lock your chosen position). This allows you to fit it to your individual desk setup. I liked it. Also, the footbed is BLACK not grey/silver as it appears in the picture. I actually wished it were black (to avoid shoe markings) so was glad to find this.

It meets the requirement. The probs i noticed are
1) the size is bit larger. It does not get in to any normal size tables.
2) the lock at the bottom gets unlocked by mistake if ur foot touches even slightly and changes the position.

I had considered buying one of the cheaper foot rests made of just plastic, but worried that they would too flimsy. I'm glad I purchased the Kensington. The rubber and adjustable height are features I think are fundamental to the product. The footrest does not slip (nor smell), and is barely noticeable to me while I work during the day. Which is how I think it should work (behind the scenes).

Product is straight forward and does what you want it to - plenty adjustable for me.

While there is a slight plastic odor, it's very minor and causes no problem unless your nose is right next to the product (in which case, you may be using it incorrectly!).

This is exactly what we were looking for. Some of the reviews talked about a bad smell, so we only ordered one at first to make sure we liked it. It did have a bad smell at first, so we took it out of the box and put it in another room for a whole day to let the smell dispell. We let other employees try it and then ordered 4 more. They all love it and say it makes a big difference in their comfort throughout the day.

This has all the adjustable features you would want for a footrest. The quality of the platic is great.

However, the rubber that your rest your feet on smell so bad that I'm sure whoever makes this footrest will have cancer. I had to leave it in the garage for days before I could use it and I'm sure to not put my bare feet on it. Lawyers, have at it.

I bought one for work and really liked it. No smell as others had. Since it's on carpet, it doesn't move. The adjusting pedal locks decently so I didn't have a problem with it adjusting itself. I adjusted it to a comfortable angle and it really takes pressure off my feet (I have a nerve issue).

So I bought one for home. That one had an odor issue (either the glue or the material puts off a chemical smell). It's mostly (but not completely) dissipated - it seems to be the luck of the draw whether yours smells. The one here is on a plastic chair mat and moves a little across the floor if you put forward pressure on it. I found a good spot on the mat and it doesn't move anymore. The second one's pedal also locks well and the rest itself doesn't self adjust while my feet are on it.

Overall, good foot rest, it does its job. 4.5 stars.

The foot rest works very well. But the fresh rubber odor is offensive. I've kept it outdoors - in the sunshine. I washed it with water, vinegar, cologne, talcum powder. That's one stubborn odor, but it is bearable now.
