Decent, but not without flaws..., December 6, 2005
This review is from: Kensington 64378 PilotBoard Multimedia USB/PS2 Keyboard (PC/Mac) (Personal Computers)
I bought this keyboard yesterday, and my first impressions are thus:
The key response is much softer than many other keyboards I've used. It is more akin to the feel of a laptop keyboard, and the keys are also a bit shallower in depth, also like a laptop keyboard. It's also pretty quiet. I've found that these are definitely improvements.
The "rubberized" volume wheel at the top-center is of poor quality. It feels like there is a giant, rattley plastic gear in there. Resistance to turning of the dial is rather jerky as a result. It is only the outer part of the dial, and not the whole thing, that moves, and this sometimes makes the dial hard to use.
The 4-5 special keys on the far left (starting with the Windows user-switching key) don't seem to work in anything but Windows. For a board that is touted on the box as "works with any computer", this is disappointing.
The overall styling of the board is nice. The 0 degree tilt is an improvement over older keyboards, and the layout, while fairly standard, works. The scroll wheel on the left side is a nice touch, and is surprisingly useful.
For the price, this keyboard is worth it. But if you're looking for quality and refinement, try a Logitech.

This is my afavorite keyboard in a long time. It's keys have a nice feel and they are quiet! I never knew how loud my old keyboard was. The extra features are good to. They work great. the only thing that could be better (and this is really small) is the Caps lock light could be more bright/or large. It's tough to see out of the corner of your eye, if you have Caps Lock on or not. Overall, though - a kick-butt board.

Works great., December 21, 2006

I bought this keyboard for the soul propose to type codes into my Gameshark, instead of using the controller which takes forever. This keyboard works great with Gameshark, helps cutting the time to input the codes, so that I can just get in and get out to start playing a new game as fast as I can. I'm sure this keyboard will work on other games that allows the use of a keyboard, but I have tried it out yet on games. Its easy to use on your PS2 just plug it into one of the USB ports on your PS2 and your all set.
