Decent, but not without flaws...,

I bought this keyboard yesterday, and my first impressions are thus:
The key response is much softer than many other keyboards I've used. It is more akin to the feel of a laptop keyboard, and the keys are also a bit shallower in depth, also like a laptop keyboard. It's also pretty quiet. I've found that these are definitely improvements. The "rubberized" volume wheel at the top-center is of poor quality. It feels like there is a giant, rattley plastic gear in there. Resistance to turning of the dial is rather jerky as a result. It is only the outer part of the dial, and not the whole thing, that moves, and this sometimes makes the dial hard to use. The 4-5 special keys on the far left (starting with the Windows user-switching key) don't seem to work in anything but Windows. For a board that is touted on the box as "works with any computer", this is disappointing. The overall styling of the board is nice. The 0 degree tilt is an improvement over older keyboards, and the layout, while fairly standard, works. The scroll wheel on the left side is a nice touch, and is surprisingly useful. For the price, this keyboard is worth it. But if you're looking for quality and refinement, try a Logitech.

This is my afavorite keyboard in a long time. It's keys have a nice feel and they are quiet! I never knew how loud my old keyboard was. The extra features are good to. They work great. the only thing that could be better (and this is really small) is the Caps lock light could be more bright/or large. It's tough to see out of the corner of your eye, if you have Caps Lock on or not. Overall, though - a kick-butt board.

I bought this keyboard for the soul propose to type codes into my Gameshark, instead of using the controller which takes forever. This keyboard works great with Gameshark, helps cutting the time to input the codes, so that I can just get in and get out to start playing a new game as fast as I can. I'm sure this keyboard will work on other games that allows the use of a keyboard, but I have tried it out yet on games. Its easy to use on your PS2 just plug it into one of the USB ports on your PS2 and your all set.

I love scroll wheels on keyboards,

This keyboard has been very good. I was looking for one with a scroll wheel, as it seems most new keyboards are putting a zoom switch instead lately. I use the scroll wheel all the time when reading online and when typing, so I don't have to keep a hand on the mouse.
Having volume and media controls are also nice. They worked with no installation - as soon as the keyboard was recognized it worked great. I don't use many of the other switches, except the calculator button - I use that all the time to launch the calculator. Nice keyboard that is inexpensive. Stands up to gaming and standard office/Internet use.

A nice upgrade!,

I bought this to replace my Apple keyboard. Although I do sometimes miss the 2 low-power USB ports of an Apple keyboard, this Pilotboard excels in other areas. I've been using this for about half a year and have yet to encounter any problems. It's sturdy and easy to type on, easily programmable, and quiet! Works wonderfully with my PS2.
Overall, while other Mac users may complain about losing 2 low-powered USB ports (get a hub/bus already) you definitely gain more control over keyboard functions. Furthermore, being a poor grad student the price and quality of this product can't be beat!

I am typing this review on my new kensington pilotboard. it is a very nice keyboard, and I love it. the forward/back buttons next to the mouse wheel are very nice, and incredibly useful! (I hate having to go up to the top of my browser to go back) a wonderful keyboard.

You really need the two extra ports on the keyboard for it to be truly a Mac Keyboard. Ever wonder why PC mice have such an impossibly long cord? It's because PC mice have to plug into the back of the computer, wherever it may be. You can tell a Mac mouse by its short cord, and a Mac keyboard by its USB ports. This is another afterthought keyboard. I'm going for the MacAlly products to see if they meet my needs better.
