5.0 out of 5 stars Cheap, but good
I've used this mouse for 4 or 5 years now. At home, not at work. First with an old Compaq notebook, now with my iMac. It's cheap, it's very light, and it still works great after all this time. I've probably spilled a drink or two around it, but that hasn't slowed it down. It's quite the work horse. Two buttons plus a third button as a clickable scroll wheel. The...

3.0 out of 5 stars a sad disappointment
I bought this mouse to replace an older mouse-in-a-box which I have always loved but is showing its age. But although it has the same name and model number (72123), it is not the same mouse. The minor design changes don't matter. What _does_ matter is that my computer does not recognize the new version as a Kensington mouse, so I can't use all the wonderful MouseWorks...

5.0 out of 5 stars Cheap, but good, April 4, 2010
This review is from: Kensington 72123 Mouse-in-a-Box Optical USB Mouse (Personal Computers)
The scroll wheel is quiet and feels good, even though it's not a fly wheel. Unless you're a gamer, I would whole heartedly recommend this mouse. And for that price, it's got to rank among the best values of any product I've purchased.

4.0 out of 5 stars decent mouse, October 21, 2009
This review is from: Kensington 72123 Mouse-in-a-Box Optical USB Mouse (Personal Computers)
I bought this because it was available and my old optical mouse was giving me problems. So far the model K 72123 works fine although the tactile feel is not as nice as my old IntelliMouse. I'll probably buy a different mouse because I miss the forward and back buttons, but for the price this is a decent mouse.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Mouse, October 31, 2007

This product comes without software and it works perfectly fine. The mouse plugs into USB ports and has an attachment for old CPU's with the circular green socket (sorry, don't know what they're called). The mouse is lightweight but the click is a tad loud.

Problem free so far.

5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding value, March 15, 2007

An excellent basic mouse from the fine folks at Kensington. The shape, size and feel are all good. The warranty is unparalleled for a cheap mouse. The software (on the Mac) is some of the most flexible out there (though it still hasn't fully matched its former glory from the days of Mac OS 9).

The minor design changes don't matter. What _does_ matter is that my computer does not recognize the new version as a Kensington mouse, so I can't use all the wonderful MouseWorks features. Naturally I had the first mouse replaced, but the second one behaves no differently. Meanwhile, on a brand-new new Mac I can still use the original MouseWorks software-- but only with the decrepit old mouse.

5.0 out of 5 stars Working flawlessly for 4+ years, April 24, 2010
This review is from: Kensington 72123 Mouse-in-a-Box Optical USB Mouse (Personal Computers)
I purchased this to use with my Mac because I wanted the extra button and the scroll wheel and it was so low priced. I have been totally happy with it. The finish is wearing on the buttons from finger contact, but the functionality is as good as new.

I also love the Mouseworks software that works with this mouse. It can be set to move the cursor fast with quick movements and slowly with slow movements. Big help for large monitors.

no complaints, once using this optical mouse I don't believe you'll ever want to go back to a mechanical one.
