How Does the "Remind" Feature Work?

Whenever you and your phone are separated, BungeeAir locks the iPhone's screen automatically and immediately sends an alert to the BungeeAir fob. The fob's alarm activates with sound and vibration to alert you that the wireless security tether is broken and your phone has been left behind. You can use your fob to turn off the alert and/or lock your phone so you know your phone and data are safe. The distance when the tether is considered broken, short or long, can be tuned by the BungeeAir app to suit the environment you are in.

How Does the "Secure" Feature Work?

In the event that you and your phone are separated, and the wireless security tether is broken, the battery case attached to your iPhone instantly invokes iPhone's passcode security. The phone is locked and an alert is automatically sent to the BungeeAir fob. In this instance you have the confidence to know you've activated a first line of defense: your password screen has been activated, preventing anyone from unauthorized access to your phone and information.

How Does the "Find" Feature Work?

The two-way wireless security tether lets you find your phone or BungeeAir fob when they are separated but within proximity of each other. If you want to find your misplaced fob, simply press the "find" button from the companion app on the phone and the fob alarms with sound and vibration. If you have misplaced your phone, you can press the "find" button on the fob to sound an alarm from the phone.

After waiting nearly a week (super saver shipping) - I finally received my case and set it up with my iPhone 4S. I like the idea of doubling the battery life, but I experienced the following problem. I have the phone in my left pocket, and the keyfob in the right, and the application would reset, and beep because it lost contact with the phone. I called Kensington support who told me they had a similar call from someone else with an iPhone 4S purchasing this case from Amazon, and instructed me to return the case for a replacement from Amazon. He assured me it should work with the iPhone 4S (though the box I received only indicated iPhone 4) I am again waiting for the case and will update my review if the new one works - I have my doubts. - My replacement came within a week, and I still have random beeps from the fob, even when I have both items on me. To be honest, I am very happy with the case itself, and it protects the phone very well, and I like the extended battery life. My only other comment is that you cannot use this case with any of the standard iPod stands or docking stations, since it connects via a Mini-USB cable which will charge the phone and the extra battery, plus it replaces the iPod cable for syncing to iTunes.

I found this product through a CES 2012 review and purchased it from Amazon. Shipping was fine. It was actually delivered one day earlier than scheduled. I've had an iPhone 4s since day one and worry about losing it, so when I saw this product it struck me as a perfect solution for some battery problems and security. Unfortunately, it's poorly made, has 10-15 false alarms or dropped connection with the key fob every day and when the connection with the key fob fails it will try to re-initialize forever. Frequent loss of connection with key fob when it is less than 2 feet away. The app is a heavy drain on the phone battery. The additional battery power provided by the case is nice and does work well. The range for the distance between the key fob and iPhone is at most 15 feet which is fine for me, but if you need the advertised distance of 50-75 feet don't count on it. This product adds a lot of weight to the phone. I would not purchase this product again.

Well, I thought this was a great idea (and it is), and I also thought that this would be a feature that might save me! Having played with the device for many weeks after the novelty has worn off, I am sorry to report that this product is a failure. I received way too many false alarms and the range of separation between the fab and the base unit was smaller than desired. I thought I could live with that by silencing the alarm via the mute button when it went off. Well, I could.....for about 15-20 seconds then the alarm goes off again. Long story short, I have turned off the fab and when I loose my phone, I'm going to be even more upset with this product! Also, the coating on the device started to wear off after a few day of use. My 6-8 week device now looks 3-5 years old. I would strongly recommend looking at another battery option for your iPhone!
