This is a nice lock. I use it on my Macbook pro at work. Cable is sturdy enough that it will very likely prevent thieves from just picking up your computer and walking off. I picked a combination one over a keyed one because it seemed easier to me not needing to remember to bring key all the time to work.
This clicksafe system is definitely convenient. Some reviewers for other kensington clicksafe were commenting that the part that goes into the computer's kensington lock slot permanently attaches and doesn't come out. But the one for this lock does come off. It's easily placed by a tool that comes with and it seems very secure. The lock system is very nice. The combination part really easily goes in and clicks nice and secure, and easily comes out just pushing a button.
Other reviewers from the other kensington combination locks have complained that combination dials are sometime not easy to turn but this one so far seems smooth.
I recommend it to anybody that is looking for a piece of mind from a combination system.

We bought 7 for our lab computers. Of the 7 purchased, 6 worked perfectly. One lock was defective; it did not allow a combination to be set. The button that should be pushed and twisted with a paperclip to set the combination was jammed. The combination was easy to set on the other 6 locks, and the (somewhat thin) cable was easy to secure to furniture. However, the inset attachment/anchor that went so smoothly into IBM models did not go into the into security slot on our MacBook Pro (circa 2010). We are looking for an alternative lock. The one non-working lock was returned for credit with no problem.

I am out, along side the road, a lot of time in the course of my work. This lock gives me an add element of security when I am away from the car.
