1.0 out of 5 stars Smaller than it claim
Buy it if your laptop is smaller than 15".

And the handle strip is too small to carry on the shoulder.

The Kensington Contour Balance Notebook Case is touted as "fitting like your favorite pair of shoes". The company says that this case is recognized by the American Chiropractic Association for maximizing comfort while minimizing muscle strain. Notebooks are getting lighter but mine still weighs 5.5 pounds and the stuff I carry adds to that. I wondered if this case really did make a difference. It does! I tested this case and found it that it just feels better to carry.

Its myriad of features belies how light it feels to carry. One of the first features that I noticed was the magnetic clasp on the handle to keep the straps together and ready to grab. It also has a detachable shoulder strap that you can easily attach or store in a side pocket. The case itself looks beautiful in black and a b/w print. It has a very feminine look as it is sleek and definitely not bulky. It has 4 open pockets on the outside (one on each side and 2 smaller ones on the ends.)

Inside you will find 3 zippered compartments: a deep quilted padded middle for your laptop, and also one on each side. The beauty continues inside with a white on grey fabric mimicking the outside black and white fabric. One compartment has various sized pockets on both sides to hold pens, cell phone, camera, memo book, etc. One side's pockets are deep and run to the bottom while the other side are shorter. A pocket of choice for almost anything! The compartment on the other side has a large inside zippered pocket. The bottom is also padded for extra protection and I like that it is flat and has solid pewter looking metal feet. Kensington refers to the protected bottom as their AirBrake(tm) bottom cushion. All hardware has an attractive pewter look.

The attention to detail did not go unnoticed. The decorative topstitching on the outside not only reinforces the case but also creates a stylish look. The fabrics are made of lightweight and water resistant materials. Kensington calls the stitched side an Air-Flo Countour panel that dissipates heat while carrying and also hugs the body for greater comfort. A friend of mine mentioned that you could also use it as your purse thereby eliminating one more thing to carry. It carries as much as, if not more, without the bulk. It is sleek, feminine and very stylish.

I love this case and until I get a laptop that doesn't fit, (very unlikely), I'm using this case for a long time. It is worth every penny of the price and I highly recommend it! Tested with a 15" MacBookPro.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great bag, August 31, 2008

Lot's of room for a laptop less than 15". Generous pouches. Only complaint is the skimpy padding in the shoulder strap.

5.0 out of 5 stars Useful computer case, August 2, 2008

I think it is one of the best purchases I have done, because its exactly what I needed. A woman bag for my laptop and to carry some other things. It doesn't look giant and I can use it anytime carrying my laptop and all other things I usually carry on a bag.

5.0 out of 5 stars Gorgeous non-computer computer case, July 13, 2011

Elegant computer bag. Everyone is surprised that it contains a computer. After 2 years of HARD use (I live in Latin America), I'm replacing it because it's lightly scuffed up. Fits my MacBook Pro 15" computer, even in it's hard shell case.

5.0 out of 5 stars Kensington Laptop Bag!!, February 18, 2010

I love this bag so much! Its perfect it holds my mini netbook perfectly, the bag will hold larger computers even better. On the bottom of the bag the material never touches the ground, so it wont get dirty or wet!!! I use mine for school and i put my computer in the middle slot and on the side slots i put a book and a notebook, it has a place for my pens and pencils that i carry to class. i also put some small art supplies in there like my contractor and little ruler. there is a pocket in one of the side slots that would hold anything like papers to most likely anything you wanted. On the side of the bag are pockets and i use those for my charger and sometimes an umbrella if needed. You ould put a water bottle in there too. I love the strap on the bag. It has this really nice shoulder pad. It has nice padding in it and doesnt dig into you shoulder! which is great!!! The bag with all my things in it is not very heavy at all, and when holding the bag on my shoulder it hits me around my waist so it doesnt knock into everything. the smaller handles on the bag have a little magnet in them and they stick together which makes it easier to just grab them and go! i love this bag and so far has been very durable, and appears it will last for a very long time! I recommend this bag for anyone!
