I can't believe no one has reviewed this, its excellent. Great looking keyboard, resonably quiet, buttons press very well, you don't have to press just in the middle. Its also is very lightweight but stays put due to a couple nice rubber pads that don't look like they will come off easily. It washes with soap and water but you supposedly cant put it in the dishwasher, but soap and water I'm sure will be good enough when the time comes.

The keys aren't the noisiest I've ever heard but they're also not quiet. Our work environment is VERY dirty so I thought I'd give this KB a try to see just how well it cleans up. Hopefully it cleans up well and lasts, otherwise it's just a really expensive standard keyboard.
I looked over the key layout before ordering but still didn't notice they squeezed the "|\" keys between the "?" and "Shift" keys. This makes the right Shift key very small. We use "?" a LOT for customer lookups so having that extra key between makes it more difficult to type quickly. I'm hoping I'll get used to it after a little practice. On the bright side, it has the oversized "Enter" key and double sized Backspace keys thet we're used to. The only other negative is the keys tend to shine a little from the office lighting. It's not blinding, just noticable. All in all, if it lasts in a dirty construction type environment I'll consider it a good buy.

This keyboard is comfortable to type with and works O.K. The only problem I've had so far is when it misfires. What I mean is that sometimes when I press a key I get 2 letters, and other times I get none (as if I did't hit the key at all). This occurs enough to be annoying, but I reserve myself to blaming the keyboard, as it could just be Vista and the fact that I have swapped 3 different keyboards on this laptop. I will take it home and try it there. I didn't return this because it's washable (which I haven't tested yet) and the fact that its' comfortable to type with once you get past how it feels (has some kind of coating on it). Its been 3 months and the keys have not worn off yet.

Good enough - for people with very small hands (like me?),

My hands are 9 inches from tip of pinky to tip of thump when the hand is completely
open and spread. This keyboard feels small to me. I switched from the big old Belkin one (the one you know that has only one very bad review here - which worked fine for me for yearsBelkin CLASSIC KYBD PS2 ONLY-95/98/2000/NT/ME F8E206-PS2 ) ... I'm over reaching... I use it at my desktop computer. That is, if I'm going to use it... the keys are noisy - it feels plastic"ee" and cheap. BUT the "D" works and for now, for the immediate need, it will do. There is definately nothing about this keyboard - other than the simplicity of it that is worth $33.00. Feels like an $11.00 one to me. Sigh.

Stopped working after first wash,

Our Kensington washable keyboard became unusable after the first wash. We submerged the keyboard in warm soapy water, then let it air dry overnight. All of the number keys stopped working immediately. The letter keys became unpredictable - after a couple of hours of use. Washed again, dried thoroughly and got the same behavior. Made a quick trip to Walmart to purchase a standard Microsoft keyboard for half the price of this one.

I like this keyboard a lot. The antibacterial and ability to wash it whenever are the reasons I bought it since there seems to be a new health article written everyday about the number of germs on a typical keyboard. I've owned many Kensington keyboards before and this one's keys are a little spongier and softer than the other keyboards. I typically prefer a keyboard with a good "clack" when you hit the keys. This one doesn't do that. It's not bad enough that I'll go back to a standard keyboard, but if you're really sensitive about key-feel, then keep this in mind.
