5.0 out of 5 stars best wireless presenter I have ever used
I usually don't get that excited about things like wireless presenters, but the Kensignton K72353US is amazing! In addition to being perfectly weighted (it falls into your palm rather that out), the laser on it can go straight across my neighborhood (I tested it outside) and on a more practical note even shows up against a flat screen TV. I got caught in my last training...

This review is from: Kensington K72353US Wireless Presenter Pro with Green Laser Pointer (Office Product)
I bought the wireless presenter pro because I give a lot of powerpoint presentations in college lectures and guest presentations for various groups. First the good: It works great when it works. It has a nice hand feel to it and the transmitter fits neatly into a little compartment inside the pointer unit for storage. The functions are all you really need (forward, back, black screen) and the green laser pointer is nice and bright - much better than a red laser. It comes with a sturdy little storage case. The Bad: It is very unreliable as to whether it will work on any given computer. The USB transmitter unit is frequently not recognized by the computer and therefore the only thing that works is the laser pointer. I have tried probably 7 different computers in the last week, both macs and PCs, and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. If it does work on a computer, it seems to always work on that computer, so if you only use one computer, you will probably be OK. I have solved the problem by trying different USB ports on computers, by unplugging other USB peripherals that might be causing some confusion, and by making sure the powerpoint presentation is loaded before plugging in the presenter. BUT, when you are walking into a room to give a guest presentation on their setup, who has time for all that messing around? Last week, I was one of two guest presenters at a meeting. I could not get my Kensington presenter to be recognized by the computer. The next speaker walked up and plugged in her presenter exactly the same way and it worked instantly. Grrr. In short, I would not buy this presenter again and I may be returning it.

5.0 out of 5 stars best wireless presenter I have ever used, September 14, 2010

I usually don't get that excited about things like wireless presenters, but the Kensignton K72353US is amazing! In addition to being perfectly weighted (it falls into your palm rather that out), the laser on it can go straight across my neighborhood (I tested it outside) and on a more practical note even shows up against a flat screen TV. I got caught in my last training showing my slides on a big, wall mounted TV and my red laser pointer didn't show up at all. Kensignton cures this. It totally rocks!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Kensington Presenter, June 13, 2010
This review is from: Kensington K72353US Wireless Presenter Pro with Green Laser Pointer (Office Product)
The new Kensington Wireless presenter was great. I am a Technology Coordinator at a K-8 school and used it during a parent/student ribbon pinning ceremony. It worked great and had great range. It allowed me to stay out of the way and just go from baby picture to baby picture without me obstructing the parents' view of the baby pictures. I highly recommend the product. Kensington also has another wireless presenter that includes memory in the receiver. Both models are great. I especially liked the fact that the Kensington K72353US has a green laser which shows up better against the light from my LCD projectors and it comes with a case for it. The Presenter has an on/off switch so the case insures that the power won't go on until needed. Feel free to contact me if any questions. jeinbinder@me.com

This sounded like an ideal "wireless presenter" in that it has a bright green laser and works with both PC and Mac machines. The hookup was immediate as claimed. I was very pleased with it until my third use of it when the laser button got stuck in the "on" position. I could get it off by turning the power switch. However, when I turned it back on, the problem repeated after several presses of the laser button. Several more attempts had the same outcome. This malfunction would be have been a nightmare situation had I been giving a presentation to an audience. Fortunately, I was only practicing. I packed up the unit and returned it to Amazon.

1.0 out of 5 stars Laser did not work, October 7, 2010

I bought this to replace my older Kensington device which had served me faithfully for years. Because of this good experience I chose to replace it with another Kensington device. The laser works for only a second, will work again if the button is pressed again, and so on. I have asked for a replacement - tune in next week for the next exciting episode.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fast and BRIGHT!, May 26, 2010
This review is from: Kensington K72353US Wireless Presenter Pro with Green Laser Pointer (Office Product)
This is a great wireless controller! It is much more "responsive" than my previous Logitech Cordless 2.4 Presenter. But what really sets it apart is the brilliant green laser pointer. In all rooms, but especially rooms that are not dark, the green pointer is MUCH easier to see and to use.

2.0 out of 5 stars A Great Product If You Don't Get One That's Defective, November 5, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Kensington K72353US Wireless Presenter Pro with Green Laser Pointer (Office Product)
I've used the Kensington K72353US Wireless Presenter Pro with Green Laser Pointer for over 256 hours throughout the past 5 months. I teach 4 days/week in a Doctoral Physical Therapy program, and each class is between 4 and 6 hours long. The Kensington K72353US Wireless Presenter Pro with Green Laser Pointer is on constantly throughout a 6 hour mix of PowerPoint slides and hands-on lab practice.

From an ergonomic perspective, it is extremely well designed. Unlike rectangular or oval shaped pointers, the size and shape reflects the contours of the user's hand. Similarly, the 4 buttons are intuitively located. The green laser projects farther, and is brighter and more visually stimulating than the red laser alternatives. Finally, I love the sturdy semi-rigid case that comes with it.

The Kensington K72353US Wireless Presenter Pro with Green Laser Pointer would be perfect if not for one major defect. On at least once instance in ~ 80% of the classes I've given, the entire device has stopped working. With all that I love about this product, I still cannot justify paying over $60 for a product that to date, has gone into sudden death mode in nearly every class I've given throughout the past 5 months. However, resurrecting it from the dead is an easy fix. I turn the power button off and wait about a minute, then I turn it back on and it works perfectly for the next 4 hours. So the problem isn't weak batteries. Furthermore, there's no correlation with the amount of time in use. Sometimes it dies in the first hour, other times it poops out in hour six. For $60, I got a temperamental laser pointer that decides when it needs to take a time out.

There's so much I like about this product that I can almost overlook paying $60 for something that was defective from the first day I started using it. I can even overlook the inconvenience of having to turn it off for a minute to reactivate it. However, my fear is what this portends for the future. The defect that has been causing it to temporarily stop functioning since the day I bought it, will probably cause it to permanently stop working in the near future. Such a disappointment.

I read the Amazon customer reviews of the Kensington K72353US Wireless Presenter Pro with Green Laser Pointer before I made the purchase. Although less than 20% of the reviews were negative, among those that were, nearly all reported the product stopped working shortly after purchase. Despite that red flag which suggested 20% of these laser pointers are defective, I ignored my better judgement and made the purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic, high value presentation tool, May 1, 2011

I replaced a similar product with the Kensington, which literally addressed all of the separate issues we were experiencing with other presentation mouse / pointer products our presenters used. The green laser is extremely visible, and the storage compartment for the USB dongle is perfectly designed. We've used the device on a half dozen of our laptops so far, and it sets up and operates perfectly every time. Perhaps most importantly, the design is clean and clutter free- just the basic controls a presenter needs. Very intuitive and easy to use. We highly recommend this product, especially for the reasonable price.

I have a couple laser pointers. I got this one since it had a green laser which is useful for longer distances, brighter rooms, and certain types of screens. This is a great little unit and I would recommend it to anyone. I still find myself comparing it to my Kensington 33374 Wireless Presenter with Laser Pointer.
Pros: Comes with a case, affordable, Green laser pointer.
Cons: Has a separate power button rather than a "power off" function while the transmitter is inserted into the Kensington 33374 Wireless Presenter. I sometimes forget to turn this one on because I never have to worry about that with my other one. It has a power switch to save batteries because it fits very tight in it's case and will surely press the buttons while it's in the case. I know me and I will surely forget to turn it off from time to time. I always carry spare batteries for this and some other devices I use just in case.

This is a great product I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one. I'd be 5 stars if the insertion of the transmitter turned off power like my other one.

4.0 out of 5 stars Green stands out nicely, October 7, 2011
This review is from: Kensington K72353US Wireless Presenter Pro with Green Laser Pointer (Office Product)
The Kensington K72353US Laser Pointer has all of the features described, and the best one is...

The On/Off switch. It's a compact power switch that just shuts the whole thing off. I've had presenters that auto-offed and that turned off when you put the receiver back in it, but being able to just switch it off is nice. Saves battery power, saves accidentally shining green laser all over the place.

The Green light does stand out much better in lit rooms. The description says that it can be used to point things out on an LCD screen, and that is accurate. Also, the laser does have the longer range advertised.

The carrying case is a nice, semi-hard shell case. It will not protect your presenter if you run over it with a truck (assumption, I didn't try that), but it does keep it separated from other items in your bag. It did resist the heavy book that fell on it, so that's a win.

Presentation controls are nice and straightforward: forward, back, and blank screen. That's it. One step up from a previous presenter I've used is that pushing the "laser" button does not un-blank the screen. However, forward or backward will unblank the screen.

This is not the most function presenter on the market: there is no capacity here to use this as a mouse or other control. You're going to click back and forth, blank, and point with a laser, but you're not switching programs or rewriting your presentation with it.

Easy to use, easy to setup (with both Win Vista and Win7 it was plug, wait for the computer to think about it a minute, and use: no drivers), and easy to store. I'd recommend it.
