5.0 out of 5 stars Great cushion
I ordered this cushion for my rather large desk chair at work- and it works great! The foam is very thick, but conforms to the body to support it well. The cushion is tapered at the front to prevent pressure on the legs. I would highly recommend this to improve posture and support while working at a desk. I purchased this pad because my legs were getting numb from poor circulation due to the bad padding in my office chair. I spend eight hours in this chair so I needed it to be more comfortable. I purchased this pad hoping it would do the trick. Unfortunately it does not.

I am 6' 2" tall and weigh 260 lbs. My waist size is 40". I am a big guy.

Here are the pros and cons:

Pro - Well made, memory foam is great stuff when used in thick enough pieces.

Pro - Will probably work well for imps and elves.

Pro - Price is reasonable.

Con - Small seat area. Leaves approx. 2" of normal office chair seating surface uncovered.

Con - Too thin. Compresses to a hard 1/2" thick rubber pad.

I would not recommend this pad to anyone over 100 lbs. Seriously. The foam is not thick enough to support even that amount of weight. It would need to be larger (additional 2" to 3" width and depth) and thicker (additional 2" height) to really function properly. If you are over 100 lbs. suggest either buying a nicer chair, or purchasing a bigger cotton stuffed pad.

I ordered this cushion for my rather large desk chair at work- and it works great! The foam is very thick, but conforms to the body to support it well. The cushion is tapered at the front to prevent pressure on the legs. I would highly recommend this to improve posture and support while working at a desk. I am buying a second one to keep at home so when I work at my kitchen table on my laptop I am at the proper height.

I also am an adult with ADHD Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and find this cushion allows me to sit for longer periods of time without becoming restless. I also used to find myself sitting on my leg or heel, but with the cushion I am better at keeping both feet on the ground while I am sitting at my desk or table.

Kensington makes great products- I also love the Kensington laptop stand for my desk at school that I also ordered on Amazon as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best chair cushion so far, May 2, 2009

The cushion of my chair became pretty much useless after a half year purchasing the chair, and therefore I started to try putting on chair cushions. The first one I tried was, Obus Forme because of good rating. However, when I tried it, it was disappointing. The cushion itself is not bad, but I can feel the wire beneath, and it is just awkward and not very comfortable for me. Since I have open the package and tried sitting on it, I could not return and have to sell it, but considering shipping and reduced price, there was pretty much no difference if I jut throw it away. Then, this is the product I tried next. So for I have been using for a month. Cushion is good. Because it is memory foam, it fit you no matter what position you are. It definitely reduces pressure on but. I like this product.

2.0 out of 5 stars bummer, November 8, 2007

after reading some good reviews, i was really looking forward to this cushion. what a let down!

since i have always had trouble with my sit bones (even on leather cushy chairs) and ending up with a numb butt, thought this might solve it.

out of the box it feels nice and thick and squishy but sadly flattens out after just a few minutes (i weigh 175 lbs.) it's no better than sitting on a folded blanket.

5.0 out of 5 stars If You're Tall You Need This, September 25, 2010

I'm 6' 3" and the Memory Foam cushion has saved my back. I've used it for 2 months and I have seen a substantial reduction in back pain.

It lifts me up only 1/2" higher which does help, but what really helps is the excellent support it gives to my skinny boney butt. :-) Being tall my knees usually sit higher then my butt, which is bad. This cushion shapes itself to my angular butt and supports it well. It also seems to help me sit up with a straight back.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice Cushion, July 22, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
The cushion was great, the vendor wonderful. Unfortunately, the cushion was purchased for a co-worker to help with back problems experienced only in the office and it was determined that just a cushion would not help. So, we decided to return the cushion and Restockit was very swift and helpful with the refund. I would definitely purchase from them in the future.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good product...helped my aching back., September 29, 2010

My situation: I sit in my home office chair for many hours in a day, weigh 240 lbs, am over 50, and my office chair is older, the padding is compressed. I purchased this cushion out of desparation, as I was experiencing a difficult episode of back pain. This cushion has really helped to eliminate the back pain, and it allowed the normal back pain methods to be successful. I'll eventually get a new chair, but I bet I'll still use this pad. My wife has tried the pad, and she wants one too. I'm very happy with this purchase.

This cushion was ridiculously small and didn't even fit my office mate's smaller chair let alone mine. I let my skinny teen neighbor try it out, and even she said it was so small and hard that it was cutting into the back of her thighs. It created about a dozen new pressure points when I tried it. On top of that, it's very thin and instantly compresses flat.

I bought this for an old office chair that the seat cushion had worn out and the pneumatic height adjustment had quit. The memory foam seat rest is very comfortable, relieving a sore posterior. The seat cushion also added a little height so my arms are better positioned for typing. The only negative is the seat cushion is a little small for my full sized office chair. I keep the cushion positioned a little forward from the back rest (I tend to slouch in my chair so I don't notice the inch or two gap). It does stay in place well, maybe needing readjustment once a week or so. Overall I am very happy with the product. Just be careful and check the cushion size if you have a larger office chair and sit very upright or need a lot of side-to-side coverage :)
