This item is easy to set up --- but it will not work with the latest widescreen (16:10) monitors. I have two laptops, a Toshiba and an Asus EeePC. The unit worked easily with the computers but wouldn't let them properly display. Calls to Kensington provided no help. All they could/would tell me is what I already knew, the dock does not have a driver available for 16:10 monitors.

Just moved to a new laptop (ACER 7720) and was excited about using this. Problem is that once you set it up just how you like it, the settings don't save. That is, I had to change all the settings every time I rebooted so that it would work correctly with my external monitor. I contacted Kensington via email and all they could say was that this product is incompatible with my notebook and to return it ... so i did.

I'm not sure what was wrong with the previous reviewer, but this is detected and supported in Vista with no problems. Windows Update gets the drivers for you...it couldn't be easier.

I love the Kensington Dock! I utilize this with my 15" MB Pro and Dell 6600 and both work flawlessly. I have no issues with re-booting and/or having to reset. Simple set-up and easy to use the dock has made utilizing my work space so much easier! Awesome product which I highly recommend! AAA+

Hooking up my new Sony Vaio notebook, everthing worked, except my external monitor. The Kensington driver (I downloaded their latest version) would only display at a low, fuzzy resolution and caused several critical programs to repeatedly crash. Without video functionality, I might as well use a simple USB hub and directly connect my monitor to the notebook, which is what I am now doing. I returned the docking station to the store.

I bought the produc to hook my MacBook up to my VGA flat panel with keyboard and mouse. I was able to find the drivers very quickly on Kensington's website for my MacBook even with Snow Leopard and I was off and running. Very easy setup and an awesome deal at the price I paid!

This is one cool docking station, works with every laptop but only uptil 19" external screen (that's why only 4 stars). Very fast, reliable. I would love to see the customization where i can select if speakers and mic should go to external one when i connect the USB wire or should remain in laptop. Its recommended product.

This is a good product for the price. I use it everyday so that I don't have to plug a million things to my laptop everytime I come home from a business trip. The only thing missing is a network connection. That would've been nice.

The dual monitor function and the ability connect all in a single USB cable is optimal for an excellent performance. Overall, this work just as described, great product!

Having trouble getting the duel screen function to work as my coumpter will not recognize the docking station as a second monitor......not clear how to fix.
