I selected this unit for the internal retracter- IMO very important for surviving in a travel bag, so the cord and plug don't tangle and get damaged while inserting and retrieving from tight spaces with other cords. The fit and finish is superb- better than my Logitech and Microsoft mice. Very nice product.

I got this as a warranty replacement for my Kensingtom ci25m. It is sleeker, but I do not like the feel of it as much. It is extremely light and cheap feeling, and the plastic feels very cheap too. Also, something that I immediately noticed, is the click is LOUD. I mean, it can easily be overheard over anything going on in a room; even the TV at a moderate volume.

I almost want to buy another ci25m or two, even though they only seem to last a year I like it much better.

I am very impressed with this mouse. It is surprisingly responsive and perfect for travel. Honestly the thought and design of this mouse is top notch. Perfect for portable computing without the worry of batteries, tethering, dongles, interference, etc. Nicely done!!!

MOUSE WHEEL BROKE TODAY.

I can't scroll anymore...
The end of the wheel that is attached to the wheel sensor broke in two.
It was inevitable because of the way it was designed, the shaft is forced to flex there when you click.
Doesn't appear to be enough there to superglue...

Pro's:
-The body is well made.
-Appearance is pleasing.
-No batteries to change or charge.
-Perfect travel size while still being big enough to use. (Some travel mice are so tiny you can't even rest your hand on them.)

Amazon must be measuring the box, the mouse is about

Con's:
-Thin cable. (I don't know how well the retractable cable will hold up. The cable is only 0.030" thick, 0.090" wide. I think they could have fit a beefier cable in it.)
-Center mouse button is hard to click.

I looked at a lot of mobile mice and have used more than a few. I don't think there is much out there better than this at the moment. At least not in this price range.

I purchased this mouse 3/9/2010 and have used it every day since. Not a single problem. I now have a second that took the place of my desktop mouse. I work in Excel, Filemaker and AutoCAD all day, so the wheel gets used constantly. Still no problems. Yes, the buttons do seem a little loud when compared to my Microsoft 3K, but it's not that bad. It's sounds like an old AT style keyboard but much quieter.

I received this mouse directly from Kensington as a warranty replacement for my old Ci25 mouse. First, I'd like to say that Kensington's warranty service was really excellent with quick responses from the company, and a replacement in my hands within a week of first contacting them. They get a lot of credit for both standing behind their product and not creating unnecessary hurdles to getting warranty service. I'll be buying more items from them in the future based on this experience.

Sadly, the new Pro Fit retractable mouse is inferior to my old Ci25. Functionally it performs very well, with nice clean mouse movement and quick recognition by Windows 7 (no drivers required).

However, the fit-and-finsh and ergonomics of the mouse are much less desirable. The whole mouse is hard plastic and feels very slick under my hand. What loved about the Ci25 was that has countered sides and slightly tacky mouse buttons that make it's 'drivability' very high. It is comfortable to hold and use for long periods, with a very pleasing tactile feel.

The new mouse feels slick, cheap, and much less polished overall. As another reviewer mentions, the mouse clicks are quite loud, much louder than the Ci25.

Another issue with the thinness of the wire is that it curls uncontrollably when the cord is extended. This makes it hard to use the mouse without the cable getting in the way. It's pretty annoying, and an inferior design to the model that this replaced.

The design which houses the retractable mouse cable inside the mouse itself is nifty, but requires the use of a much thinner usb cable, meaning it's that much more likely to fail. The mouse is covered by a two year warranty, so if the cable fails at least you know you are covered. Who knows, maybe by the time it fails and I get warranty service, Kensington will have released a model that is more like the Ci25. I really hope that they do.
