The mouse looks great, the price is right, but the form factor is not great for big hands.

Here is what I like:

Color, Design, and the fact that the wireless transceiver hides inside the mouse and turns it off when you replace it after use. The build quality is solid and it works on both pc's and mac's instantly...without installing any software. The transceiver is small and thus stays out of your way....

Here is what I dis-like:

The mouse being FLAT makes it hard to get a easy comfortable grip...especially if you have big hands and u are used to curved (microsoft type) mice.

Overall I think this deserves 4 stars and a try!!! You may fall in love with it.

Everything, including batteries and drivers (for windows) come in the box. I have not needed the drivers.... The batteries are high quality energizer triple AAA's.

Mouse looks good, and is a slim enougth to slide into a pocket in your laptop bag. The USB transceiver is tiny and hides well inside the moise body when stowed. But, the scroll wheel is shiny and stiff to turn. The only way I can turn the wheel is to lick your finger, like you were counting money. Too bad. There is no thumb back button, but I can live without that. The entire mouse is high gloss, so it can be difficult to grip with dry hands. I am still searching for the perfect mouse.

I'm a college teacher who bought this device to use in the classroom. I agree with many of the previous reviewers who noted the positive points about it: design, functionality, compactness, and ease of use. I also agree that it isn't as easy to hold as a full-size mouse that is contoured to one's hand, but that's not why I bought it. It is perfect for use in the classroom with PowerPoint as it undocks me from the front of the room so I can move in the classroom and see what the students see. The one missing functionality, which I wish I had thought of before buying it, is that it doesn't have a laser pointer, which I would have appreciated.

This wire-free USB unit is portable, smart looking, and very effective. Being wire-free in some set ups and offices is very valuable.

There aren't any other units nearby, so I can't be certain that if there is more than one, there won't be "cross-talk." I would find it surprising if this was a problem.

I'm happy with the Kensington SlimBlade Presenter Mouse that I purchased. It is small and lightweight which is extremely beneficial for travel. I use it all the time with my laptop. It seems to travel well without any damage.

I am very pleased with my purchase.

FYI the presenter mode operation is not clearly listed anywhere - it took a few minutes to figure it out as you have to start the slide show and make sure the mouse lights have finished blinking.

NOTE -- this is not a review for this product (I bough the Slimblade Media Notebook Set a few years ago) -- just a shout out for this company! After owning, using and enjoying my wireless mouse for 3 years, it quit working properly. I called customer service, faxed them a copy of my receipt and they replaced the mouse -- no hassle!! they even FedEx'd the new mouse. Thank you Kensington.

Overall I'm happy with this mouse. The price was good, the functions are simple, and the mouse does everything it advertises and a little bit more. My only complaint is that you really have to push hard to right click on items when you're using the mouse for normal browsing.

I never knew such a mouse existed until I was searching for a new presenter to use with PowerPoints. My stipulations were that the presenter be simple, compact, and have a small USB receiver. I didn't expect to find one that fit that bill while also doubling as a mouse, not to mention being cheaper than most dedicated presenters.

The mouse uses 2 AAA batteries and the USB receiver is conveniently stored within a hidden compartment on the side of the mouse, which is accessed by sliding up the silver ring that wraps around the front and sides of the mouse. An LED light indicates the battery level any time you insert or remove the USB receiver.

On my 2009 Macbook running OS X 10.6.x, the mouse was instant plug-and-play. All that was needed was to adjust the tracking speed under the mouse preference pane in Finder. The mouse is laser and thus very precise. I was able to track with precision on multiple surfaces, including vertically on a wooden door at the back of the room.

To switch between mouse and presentation mode (in which the left and right buttons work as page up and page down buttons), simply press and hold the silver Mode button behind the scroll wheel for a second or two. LED arrows on the left and right buttons light up to indicate you are now in presentation mode. Now, you can page up and page down through your PowerPoint or other presentation. The scroll wheel allows you to rapidly advance through slides forwards and backwards. To switch back to mouse mode, simply press and hold the Mode button for about 2 seconds.

I use this mouse in an educational setting. The thing I love about it the most is that I do not have to return to the computer to open a new presentation, open another application, etc. since with the click of a button, I have a wireless mouse (that is actually useable, unlike those dedicated presenters with "mouse modes" that are so clunky). It is simple, compact, convenient, effective, and all at a great price.

This is exactly as I was needing for traveling with my laptop. It's slim design makes using and packing a breeze.
