I ordered these tips for my Compaq 6900-series laptop. Only after ordering, did I learn I needed a different tip than the two shown in the picture.

Much to my surprise, when the package arrived it contained three tips - including the new one needed for my HP Compaq laptop!

I plugged it in and it worked.

The N9 tip works with my HP DV1040 laptop, however is not a snug fit. This costs entirely too much for one usable tip... I wonder why they package these in twos?

Works fine, just don't like having to pay for it when the adapter says it works with HPs. And you don't get two of the same tip.

this is my 2nd time buying the tips. they just break too easily. other than that they work just fine
