The unique design brought me to buying the mouse. It is much more comfortable and you can avoid cramping your hands like many of the notebook wireless mice out there. You can just keep your palm flat. Battery life is great and the receiver and mouse itself stow nicely in a travel bag.

Two issues though:

--The rubber applique is peeling/deteriorating after several months use.

--The right-click button clicks but doesn't send a signal once in about 50 clicks.

If there's one thing I've learned shopping for a mouse, it's that there is no such thing as a perfect mouse. It all comes down to intended usage, and prioritizing what matters to you. This one, which I bought after agonizing over the choice, turned out to be pretty good for my purposes. I needed a replacement for my iMac Mighty Mouse (which was far from mighty). I just needed something basic - right and left buttons, middle scroll, and Mac compatible. I found it in the Kensington. I've had this mouse for several weeks, and I have used it for at least 4 hours a day. It tracks pretty well,has a shape and size that isn't too different from the Mighty Mouse I'm used to, and no software has been needed. It is not perfect, but it does the job I bought it for. But to be as complete as possible, here are the issues I have found;

1. I can feel that the rubber sides, which numerous others have complained about, are going to be an issue in the future. The warmth and dampness of my fingers after hours of use make it feel funny.
2. I wish the usb dongle was a bit shorter. My port is on the right side of the keyboard and I keep bumping into it with the mouse! LOL
3. I'm not fond of the Drag and Drop action. It's not very accurate and requires trial and error to drop things in the right place.
4. Once in a while, the mouse does miss a click or or two, but not more than my Mighty Mouse every did.

To address issues I have read about this mouse;
The scroll wheel is the clicky, bumpy kind. I don't mind it but some people want a smooth roller with smooth scrolling on-screen. If that's a high priority for you, this is not the right mouse for you.
The size of the mouse is not really a laptop mouse (which I'm glad about). It's flat, but long. Ideal if you miss the days when a full size mouse was easy to find. Also, it's much lighter than the Mighty Mouse, making it easier to move around. Maybe that's why some think the tracking is too fast. Too much muscling.
The mouse has a sleep feature, and many hate that because you have to click to wake it up. I right click to avoid clicking stuff I don't want to in the process. Never had a problem.

Overall, the mouse is doing it's job well, I recommend it to anyone who needs a basic mouse that's plug-and-go. Will it last? Only time will tell. But for now, I'm happy.

I just recently purchased this product from a major tech chain and after seeing customer reviews from other on-line stores, this one seemed like the "best buy." I must say, I am very impressed with the overall look, feel, and design of this little gadget. Easy to use and even easier to pull out and store the wireless receiver in the base for easy transport. I also enjoyed the modern design and feel of the mouse in my hand. The performance is great and the mouse moves almost too easily across the screen! Overall, I would highly recommend this product!
