I am happy with this product. It is simple and it works well. After using it a few times, I was able to get my iPhone put in and take out of it with one hand (non-dominant hand).

My only issue is that I had to give up one air vent. On the back of this product, there are two slits that crisscross. To ensure this holder won't jiggle or slip, you need to set it up exactly where two air vent grid lines meet. That means you can no longer adjust the air flow direction. If I do not want the air coming out of this air vent, I need to shut it up. Also, I assume the heat probably is not good for my phone, so I keep this air vent shut during winter. Since I wanted to keep the center air vents free from this restriction, I am using the one on the left side of steering wheel. Thus, I trained myself to use my non-dominant hand to handle my iPhone while it is in this holder.

I am still in awe as to how creative, well-designed, and simple this phone holder is. It's so compact for carrying around if needed and sturdy enough to hold my Galaxy S4 phone w/ TPU case pretty stable on the vent of my '05 Accord Coupe. My wife's Nexus 5 phone with case also fit just fine. There was still a little bit more room to stretch so if you have a thicker case for any of these phones (or comparably sized smartphone), there shouldn't be any issues fitting them in this phone holder.

I was a bit hesitant to spend $25 when there are other holders for cheaper, but after some use I have absolutely no regrets. All the other ones on the market are significantly larger and obstructs your windshield view one way or another. However, Airframe's holder solves both issues.

The only only negative is that it obstructs one of your vents so if your car doesn't allow you to close that particular vent, be cautious about heat blowing on the phone.

Great product and highly recommended even at the relatively higher price point.

I am so glad that I bought this car mount for my iPhone 5. My car is designed in such a way that other car mounts just wouldn't work. I don't have much of a dash to speak of, my power supply is pretty much on the floor and windshield mounts placed my phone in an awkward position. I saw this, and decided to give it a try, without much hope really. I was very impressed when I received it. I have one of the small Otter Box covers(I think it's called the Commuter, not the giant one, but pretty significant in size) and the mount holds it perfectly, it's a snug fit, and I don't worry that it's going to bounce out when I go over bumps. The grips on the back are super strong, and come in two sizes for different vent types. Once it's on, it's not going anywhere, unless I want it to. It puts my phone in the perfect spot where it's convenient and I can use all of the hands free capabilities with ease.

Update 10/28/14:
I see that Kenu has a model now for larger phones (phablets): http://www.amazon.com/Kenu-Airframe-Car-Mount-Phablets/dp/B00LU5LWQK/ref=pd_sim_cps_3?ie=UTF8&refRID=12KH68PGYH3BMQVVFSFC
I think the larger model would address a lot (not all) of the issues I had with this particular model, so I am going to up my review by one star in appreciation of Kenu listening to their customers and making changes to suit larger phones. Ironically, I've decided to downsize my phone to a Sony Xperia Z3 Compact so I'll be keeping the original model and using it with the new phone. I've actually supported a new mount on Kickstarter and looking forward to giving it a try when it's estimated to ship in late November, but it's kickstarter so I'm not holding my breath - and which is why I'm not mentioning the name of the device as I don't want to recommended a product that turned out to be vaporware.

Update 07/05/14:
Apparently this review has gotten a lot of views and some comments, so I thought I would update it.

My wife got frustrated with another car mount that I had with clips that are more difficult to install and remove (because she thinks it's a big eyesore and she didn't want to look at it) so she ripped it out and broke it - without remorse. So, I went back to trying to make this clip work. It doesn't play well with my Sony Xperia Z with a case, so I just roll without a case now. It does makes it easier to clip in and out without using the case, and I've gotten better at it with practice. I can clip my phone in one handed now that I've gotten used to the action of the springs, you need to push up against the right side of the clip to open it up.

I've bought at least 20 different car mounts and researched probably a hundred by now. This is the only one that strikes a worthy balance between secure mounting, price, and not looking like a scifi horror show prop.

I'd been using a rubber band stretched between the car air vent knobs to hold my phone to my dash so I could safely use the GPS navigation while keeping both hands on the wheel and my eyes pointed towards the road (I have a photo and it's not pretty), but I was concerned about the safety of that practice when it got really hot and the rubber band cracked and then snapped, sending my phone to the floor and flying rubber band pieces towards my eyeballs.. Plus the knobs on my dash had pulled out a couple of times, again sending the phone under my feet. And everyone knows that when you drop your phone, your first instinct is to save it from shattering into a gazillion tiny shards of glass... not a good reflex when you're flying along a freeway at 70 MPH.

I didn't want one of those clunky, awkward phone holders that have a giant, black suction cup affixed to the windshield, announcing to the whole world that (1) "I have a Cell Phone and I may have left it in the car, so please, come break in and look for it"; and (2) A big black suction cup blocking my view of something that may be important, like a family of ducks crossing the road.

So for many months, I tried several different ways to deal with my phone in the car - sticky mats, rubber bands, duct tape (don't try that) and along comes Kenu with this teeny little thing in a teeny little box.

Saved.
