CD-R/RW Compatible
In 2000, Kenwood incorporated a 3-beam optical pickup to improve player performance to meet the requirements for reading CD-R (CD Recordable) discs. Now in all new models, further advances in pickup performance deliver the capability to read CD-RW (CD Rewritable) discs.
MP3/WMA/AAC Compatible
Burn a CD full of your favorite digital music files in the MP3, WMA, or AAC format and enjoy hours of music on a single disc (will not play Digital Rights-protected music files on disc).
iPod Ready
If you own an iPod, you can connect it with the optional KCA-iP100 1-wire iPod Interface Cable for crystal clear digital audio playback. You'll supply power to your iPod and charge it while you enjoy your music.
Bluetooth Ready
Add the Kenwood mobile phone hands-free unit to communicate safely without removing your hands from the steering wheel during driving. Connect the unit and enjoy clear phone communication through your stereo, with the DPX303 displaying the name and status of the other party and the signal strength, remaining battery power, etc. The unit can register up to five Bluetooth-compatible mobile phones and also download individual phone books for them. (Simultaneous use of more than one phone is not available.)

HD and Satellite Radio Ready
The DPX303 allows you to enjoy SIRIUS (requires CA-SR20V cable + Sirius Tuner) or XM (requires KCA-XM100V + XM Mini Tuner) radio in your vehicle. Enjoy a multitude of channels featuring music, news, talk shows, sports, and traffic information with CD quality sound.
Radio Text (RDS)
This function allows a radio station to transmit free-form textual information that can be either static (e.g., station slogans) or in sync with the programming, such as the title and artist of the currently-playing song.
Illumination Effect
Kenwood will make hearts race even faster with the new "Emotional Illumination Effect." Turn the car audio system on or off, turn the volume up or down, or perform virtually any operation, and the illumination slowly blinks as if emotionally responding to your interaction. Visually transforming your car interior into a dramatic stage, Kenwood's lineup introduces a new sensory dimension to car audio with the "Emotional Illumination Effect."
Supreme
When a music file is compressed, some frequencies signals are lost, particularly if it is encoded using a low bit rate. The Supreme technology is a Kenwood-original audio compensation technology that compensates for this loss and reproduces music in a more natural form, thereby making it possible to play music recorded using low bit rates (64k to 96k) in an audio-quality equivalent to music recorded using a higher bit rate (equivalent to 128k). Enjoy a natural, rich sound, even with lower compression ratios.

Front AUX Connector

this is a good system. I am a fan of kenwood products and this is no let down. it has all the funtions you need for a good sound system. however, if I had it to do over, I would get the 503 model (the upgrade). It has enough added features to make it a great instead of good system.

The product is great, the installation was easy as I was replacing a Kenwood, so it basically was a plug and play. I wish I had purchased one level up to a DPX 503. There are alot of programming features that are not available on this model, and the display is hard to read. The feature I miss the most is it does not give song and artist. Other than that it is great and I couldn't beat the price.
This had been purchased new by the previous owner of my car. It was only a few months old when I received it. I hate it. The previous owner said you had to be a rocket scientist to program the simplest functions, and he was right. But after you've spent a weekend reading the manual and trying to get the various menus to work, the worst aspects of the unit set in. Operating the thing is the most frustrating experience I've ever had with a indash unit (I've had dozens and dozens). The joystick knob performs so many functions that a slight variation in how it pressed (the amount of pressure, the length of time pressure is made, and the direction of pressure) all make it do things you don't want. When you do luckily operate it perfectly, it still requires multiple more buttons to push before you can do something as simple as simply changing from cd to radio. Also, it is impossible to read the led readout in the daytime. I really do hate this thing and highly recommend to anyone considering a similarly made product by Kenwood to look elsewhere.

kenwood DPX303
Got this little gem as a replacement for my KIA factory CD. had to up grade the rear speakes from factory but this unit rocks my little car and produces clear sound and base. Read more

GREAT double din reciver! im a Pioneer all my life, but the kenwood along with 4 6x8s is loud, and the external port is the best
