Great Performance for months to come,

This review is from: Kenwood Excelon KAC-X10D Mono subwoofer amplifier 600 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms (Electronics)
The Kenwood brand slowly sharpened its image to match its reliable amplifiers. I decided to try them as this marked a shift in excelon Power and style. I hooked this up and tested it the same day. I returned home after an hour testing it at high volume. I got out of the car with ringing ears and a throbbing headache. I felt the amp and it wars barely warm. Thinking this was just the winter weather. I waited till summer. It hit just as hard and was just as warm six months into its use. I had been driving a 500W RMS Alpine Type R with the gain at 1Volt Preamp. Two summers later with the same settings, I got consistent power no shut downs whatsoever, even in summer when I used it the most. The only time it got hot was when the weather hit 100F degrees, and still no shut down and still loud as ever. All my friends loved riding in my car and girls did not. I would buy this amp again only complaint is the hiccup it gets when the bass boost is turned up all the way, I heard this was solved on its big brother the X1-R. I would highly recommend this amp if you are a medium power user- you won't regret it.

i love this amp, never gets hot, real small, high output... i owned this awhile ago but traded my whole setup, and im back again. my previous kac-x10d had screws which would not fit the allen wrench they supplied you with but no big dael i had plenty of tools to fix that issue.

comparing to my old amp, everything hits harder and strong with this amp. previously the bass would kinda rumble with my old amp but with this in place with the same subs its amazing. it never even warms up even with heavy use like my old one, when you touch the amp its cool to the touch. the only thing i dont like about it which is only 1 problem is that the allen wrench they supply you with does not fit the allen screws which hold the cover plate on its like a size under for what you need. <- which is no big deal because it still works, although my bass makes the screws rattle up and out of the amp because i cant tighten them down as hard as i'd like to.
by the way this amp had enough power to unbolt my chimsel lamp and bounce it all around on the back window. <- my solution... threadlock
