The HTB-S710DV comes outfitted with a front-panel game audio/video input that automatically recognizes when you turn your game console on and instantly configures the correct sound processing. It also comes with a preprogrammed universal remote control with built-in Xbox and PlayStation2 codes. And if you want to play games while the family listens to music, you can slip on headphones and enjoy Dolby Headphone processing for 5.1-channel surround sound for the complete gaming experience.

Fire up the DVD player and enjoy progressive-scan clarity on your HD-capable television, along with lifelike 6.1-channel surround sound with Dolby Digital EX and DTS-ES 96/24 surround sound, and Dolby Pro Logic IIx. The six speakers pump out 130 watts each of crystal-clear surround sound, and the subwoofer gives extra richness to movies with its 100 watts of power, all via the PurePath digital power amplifier. The HTB-S710DV delivers a Home Theater In A Box product that is sure to please the video gaming enthusiasts and home theater devotees. 6 New-Design Slim speakers, a 100W powered subwoofer and a single disc Progressive Scan DVD player. Delivering out of the box a 6.1 surround sound environment. The Front Left, Right and Center Speakers have dual 2" drivers and the Surrounds (SL,SR,SB) have a single 2" driver. In addition the Front Left and Right speakers are equipped with adjustable stands. For video gamers we give features like Plug and Play Auto Detect. This feature utilizes the front A/V input. Once a video game is connected to the front A/V input the receiver switches automatically to the Game input, allowing the gamer to see and hear the video game without having to select the input manually. That same Game input allows for another feature called Dual Source Single Zone. This feature allows the gamer to listen to the soundtrack of the video game on headphones, while at the same time another listener using the VRS-7100 can listen to a CD, or the radio, in the same room. Aside from the game supporting features the VRS-7100 features an advanced digital amplifier rated at 100 W x 6, and features the latest in surround technologies, a 32-bit SHARC DSP and HD component video switching. I've had the Kenwood HTB-S710DV Home Theater System for about 2 months. I like the ease of setting it up and it has all the features I need to hook it up to my Xbox, TV, and other audio sources as well. The reason I gave it four stars is bacause the subwoofer died after 2 months of normal use. I never blasted the bass or kicked it. I guess its a power cord issue or something. Hopefuly Kenwood will help me out.
