So if you are looking for a well built 5 channel amp that will fit pretty much anywhere because of its size put this one on your radar.

This is a great little amp. I have been installing systems professionally for over 30 years. I told my daughter I would put a small system in her 2002 Saturn Vue when she graduated college. She did it so here goes. I started out with the Alpine CDE HD148BT AM/FM CD BLUETOOTH HD head unit. For the front and rear speakers I used MB Quart ONX216 6.5" 2 Way Component speakers. I used one 12W0V3-4 JL AUDIO 12" SINGLE 4-OHM SUB in a band pass enclosure. The amp I used was the Kenwood KAC7005PS 5 channel. If you have not seen one in person it is small, so your mounting options are vast. I wanted a completely stealth appearance. The amp will accept 4 ga connectors and the built in cooling fan workers well in locations where there is no ventilation. You could easily fit this under seats if need be. The sound quality was impressive. There was no distortion or hissing at all. The lights didn't dim when the bass hit which was nice. It has plenty enough power for a smaller system. The bass hit a lot harder than I imagined it could for such a small package. It was also very easy to install. So if you are looking for a well built 5 channel amp that will fit pretty much anywhere because of its size put this one on your radar.

I purchased this amp to power 2 sets of 5x7 door speakers and a Pioneer 10" sealed sub enclosure.
I kept the factory stereo unit in a new Ford F-150 due to the Sync, voice recognition, etc and installed the 4 new speakers myself.
I had the amp and Sub professionally installed.
Be advised, there is no sub adjustment knob with this amp......you have to either keep the bass level the same all the time or have a knob installed so you can adjust the bass whenever you want......I opted for the latter(an extra $100 during installation).
Since this amp has 5 channels, it powers everything.....2 sets of speakers and the sub.
It's about as loud an anyone needs and the sound quality is excellent.....even at the highest volumes.
Great sound, great value, smaller in size than many 5-channel amps....and LOUD!

I want to give this item a full 5 stars just to offset the ignorant reviewers who rated this amp 1 star because they don't know how to use a subwoofer or got bad shipping service, but I'll keep it at a strong 4 stars where I believe it should be at.

Pros:

* Very cool running
* Digital!
* The Subwoofer channel runs my 12" sub without any issues and is much more powerful than I expected. I don't think it would do a pair of 15's justice (though I haven't tested this) but it surely gives my single 12" all the power it can handle. I'm quite impressed with the sub amp inside.
* 5 channels in one box and a small profile for 5 amps in one
* Automatic internal cooling fan. You can hear this fan speed up when you run more power in the amp (turn up the music and the fan speeds up). It seems to work really well at keeping this cool. I ran it for 4 hours straight and it was just warm, maybe 110F?

Cons:

* Cheap plastic mounting brackets. I already busted one of the corners off while screwing the amp down.
* 40 watts per channel on the highs seems insufficient. I can get the speakers to a pretty loud volume (beyond a comfortable listening level pretty much) but if I set the HFP to allow more bass to go into my non-sub speakers I seem to lose overall sound quality. I'm OK with this because I'll never really turn them up this loud for very long, but I do get into a mood every now and then when a good song comes on that I'm willing to risk my hearing for in order to jam out.
* Limited owner's manual.
* No spare fuses. (Hopefully this is a good sign of confidence?)
* The amp's adjustment dials/knobs are in a horribly inaccessible location.

I've had the blaring, multi amp setups in the past.... but just wanted to fill the sound in the ride a little more. What I got was more than I bargained for...hits harder than anything I ever owned! Running Polk DB 521s in the rear, BD651s in the front doors, and 2 250w RMS 12" subs wired in parallel to 2 ohms in a sealed enclosure. It's more than anyone's ears should be exposed to..... I love it!! Thanks Kenwood! And yes....u can hear me coming blocks away. ;)

Edit!! All please read! After having this amp for a year and a half running front and rear speakers, I decided to lose the rears and bridge the fronts. Everyone kept telling me to delete the rears and focus on the front stage. They were so right. The rears were barely noticeable any longer as I had switched to a 4 cu ported enclosure with 2 SSA DCON 12s and the bass was drowning them out. I had never been completely satisfied with my Polk DB651s as I could just barely hear them blending with the 4" Kickers in the dash (running off the Pioneer head unit). Bridging them brought these things to life! Huge improvement!! My advice to anyone purchasing this or who has purchased this is to go ahead and pick up a nice set of 100 watt RMS components to throw up front and be done with it. People cannot believe that all this sound is coming from that one little amp with the modest power it has. Probably the best amp purchase I've ever made.
